It was fine to stay and very good location however I was told I couldnโ€™t use public baths due to having tattoos but was then forced to pay a bathing tax, which I couldnโ€™t do because of my body art. They then said donโ€™t worry just go 1 hour before closing and you can have the bath to yourself! Amazing! On top of this the name โ€œgiftโ€ certainly refers to the complimentary food they gave every night.the staff were lovely

You donโ€™t want to miss the buffet breakfast! Great locally sourced food, so many varieties. Onsen has both indoor large pool and outdoor open air. Facility was clean and well maintained. I recommend it!

The Double room is very tiny, and thereโ€™s a step to get into the shower. Not very safe. We upgraded the room, and it wasnโ€™t very big either but the bath is the same level. In all rooms, mattresses are hard. Breakfast variety is more limited than in other hotels weโ€™ve been to in the area, and not many western choices.

Takayama Stay

The place was clean but the rain drops and noise from next room was little loud. Also the bathroom was elevated and was difficult to get in and out. Otherwise the hotel was excellent.

My family LOVED this place. The room was very large, clean, with excellent views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the public baths. It was nice soaking in the mineral waters after a long day walking. It relaxed my muscles. Breakfast was really good, too. Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again!!!
