We booked this room due to proximity to the airport for a 6AM flight. If I had any intention of spending more than 10 hours here I’d have cut my losses and found a different hotel. Check in was rude and the staff was visibly irritated that I pulled them away from whatever they were doing around the corner. I booked a room with 2 queen beds that was non smoking. After getting my things from the car, we started really seeing the problems. The hotel room door didn’t fully open. The floor was bowed interfering with the door. The corner of the room was broken, a 2” wide crack around the entire corner exposing the moldy interior of the walls. The crown molding was falling apart around this gaping hole in the floor. I used the towels from the bathroom to cover it up. I didn’t see any insects, but assume they were present in the walls. We booked a non smoking room, yet the bedding had a large burn hole through one of the blankets. The hallway smelled like a moldy basement and the fire extinguisher cabinets in the wall were falling apart and unable to be properly closed. Simple safety requirements in a hotel room such as a posted floor plan and emergency exit information were missing. The pool looked great in photos but has likely not been used in weeks. My son had looked forward to a swim but one look at this neglected pool changed our minds. Overall, my family rested poorly for about 6 hours in the room before we left at 3:30AM. Days Inn used to be reliable.

Convenient to Airport and cruise terminal. Staff only knew the chain type eating places. There are a lot of family run ethnic grocery and eating establishments around. Jamaican, Cuban, South American, Korean Japanese restaurants around..

Unacceptable

We booked a mobility accessible room and upon arrival, they didn’t have a room. They only had a kingsize bed & sofa bed available. I booked with rewards and this is unacceptable. I should get my reward night back.

Room was “clean” on surface level but paint was all over the floor and ceilings where it wasn’t just chipping off, rusty light fixtures, moldy windowsill, staff took the lamp from our table randomly while we were out of the room, everytime we came back we needed the room key to be turned back on at the front desk, sink worked but sprayed water all over counter when turned on… would not recommend or return.

I was still sleeping at 10am after getting in at 4am I had the tag on the door. The cleaning lady walks right in. I tell her to get the F out. Her answer what time are you checking out You get what you pay for. The hotel smells like a 3rd world bathroom Crap hole

Awful

While the desk clerk was friendly enough upon check-in, that's where the niceties ended. My family and I just needed one night near the Tampa Airport for an early flight. The beds were madeup nicely but were very hard and past their prime. Floor tiles were loose, the air conditioner was propped up with pieces of wood and there was a missing outlet cover. The celing lights didn't work either. The bathroom was a whole other situation. The sink faucet was loose, the "toiletries " of shampoo and conditioner were half used, the tub was chipped, cracked and stained to the point we wouldn't dare step in. The shower and spigot were leaking loudly. We informed the front desk clerk who said he'd look at it while we went out to dinner but upon our return said he couldn't fix it, so he just closed the bathroom door so it would muffle the sound! We asked for another room but we're told they were booked full, which was very hard to believe, except for a room with only one bed(there were 3 of us). We slept in our clothes and left about 4am, telling the new desk clerk of the poor conditions. No apologies.Needless to say we would never stay there again and would warn others to seek accommodations elsewhere.

The TV did not work. It appeared someone tried to paint the ceilings and never bothered to clean up the paint droppings. It also appeared that someone tried to paint the bathtub. There were black areas on the bathroom wall that I’m hopeful are not mold. I requested a new room and was told the hotel was sold out and no rooms were available.
