Te Hapua Harborside - Sunshine House

Welcome to Te Hapua Harbourside Holiday Home.

Perfect for friends, family and fishermen alike, Te Hapua Harbourside Holiday Home has everything you could need for the perfect stay.

The house itself contains - 2 showers, 1 toilet. A 6 burner gas hob, with a 90cm oven. Large fridge/freezer, and a big, deep freezer. Unlimited Wifi so you can still be in touch with your friends. Huge assortment of cutlery and pots and pans, plates, cups etc. Also, an outdoor BBQ (gas bottle incl.) is available for you to use.

We have an extra large smoke tank with Manuka wood to cook your days catch in ready for lunch or dinner.

Ideally situated for the best of everything, we have prime fishing waters almost on our doorstep, ranging from the local harbour to the stunning beaches just a short drive away or bring your own boat and venture further out to sea.

Whether you're a group of friends or a family looking to get away from the bustle of the big city, Te Hapua is the place for you.

Pristine beaches such as the beautiful Spirits Bay with it's crystal clear waters and golden sand or the historic 90 Mile Beach with it's endless iconic scenery.

Surf the nearby Te Paki sand dunes, all these are within a 20-30 minute drive from Te Hapua, very popular tourist spot.

15 minute drive to nearest Dairy and Petrol Station - Waitiki Tourist Complex (opening hours vary each season, so please check online)
- 24 hour Petrol pump service
- Bring your own food, as there are no shops in Te Hapua.

The top of New Zealand, Cape Reinga or as we local people call Te Rerenga Wairua is a 30 - 45 minute drive. This is a must see for a first time tourist as the scenery is breathless.

Te Hapua Haven

Great hosts, welcoming and knowledgeable, comfy beds, fast wifi, amazing view from the table of the etsuary. Plenty of space for kids to run, manu off the wharf if you've got the guts! Horses roam freely here, be aware when driving in, a blessing to get a pat. Where puppies play on the tidal flats, they just love a belly scratch. The sky and stars were stunning most nights made it hard to want to go to bed. Its just never enough time, and so hard to leave the beautiful sunrises and sunsets behind us, but its not forever..we'll be back!! Looking forward to next time, much love for hosting us and thankyou from our whanau.

Needs deep cleaning

It would appear to be a fairly poor town. The place was quiet, but it smelled of urine. It just needs a deep, deep cleaning and repainting to begin with. Lodging is limited in this area, but this was pretty bad. Not up to VRBO standards that we are used to.

Hunting /fishing weekend

6 of us went for a long weekend Hunting and Fishing. Great location, isolated which was perfect. We had a great relaxing weekend, the house was exactly as advertised, very neat and tidy. Great hosts - we would recommend and will definitely stay again. Thanks Moi and Nutana.

4 Night Stay

Perfect location for all the activities we wanted to do in the Far North. Boat ramp across the road, wharf just down the road. Great for fishing. The hosts were lovely, welcoming people. Thank you Moe and Nutana. The house was basic but had everything we needed. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back to the Far North.

Good Location for Fishing

Generally speaking, this bach house is ideal for fishing. However, we had a bad experience arguing with a couple of Maori guys living in that area. At the Te Hapua jetty, they told us the jetty is a private one , not public, so do not fish here. Go away right now. I think this is truly ridiculous.

Very nice area, easy and straightforward house and setup. We had a relaxed time. Everything we needed except we couldnt find where the chopping board was hiding! Highly reccommended.

Most beautiful setting Right at the beach Free horses and cattle everywhere. Location is amazing. Cleanliness disappointing, Mattress super soft, no screens on the windows, mosquitoes ate us alive, water pressure in shower unbelievable strong! Kitchen was well stocked.
