Welcome to Legacy House, an AvantStay home!

The Legacy house is located only one block from the Gondola in Telluride's historic Depot District. It is a beautiful four-bedroom home with lots of natural light and space to entertain and it is located just steps from everything the town of Telluride offers. It's the perfect place to stay with the family!

Guests enter the Legacy Home from Depot Ave into an entryway with plenty of storage for coats, boots, and any other outdoor gear. To the right of the entryway, there is a bedroom with a queen bed, flatscreen TV, bay window, and attached bath with a soaking tub and shower. The second bedroom is located down the hall and has two built-in twin bunk beds. This bedroom has access to a hallway bathroom, which has a step-in shower. The third bedroom has two twin beds, a TV, a DVD player, and an ensuite bathroom with a step-in shower. Access to the one-car carport (meant for smaller vehicles) is located at the rear of the home on this level.

A staircase near the entryway brings guests to the second level of this home, which is the main living area. The great room is at the front of the house and features a TV, DVD player, gas fireplace, game table with room for four, and a small deck with seating that offers views of the ski hill. The living area is completely open to the dining area, which has seating for up to eight people. The kitchen is at the rear of the home and is fully equipped with a six-burner Viking gas stove, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, and all of the utensils and cookware needed to complete a meal at home. There are four stools at the island for additional seating.

Off the kitchen, there is an amazing private back deck with a private hot tub, gas grill, seating and wonderful views of Ajax. A half-bath and full-size private washer and dryer are also located off the kitchen.

On the third floor of this home is the master bedroom. It offers guests a king bed, flatscreen TV, walk-in closet, and ensuite bathroom. The bathroom has a jetted tub, a separate step-in shower, and large vanity with two sinks.

All TVs are connected to ROKU as well as Spectrum cable.

- Please note: Due to the geological isolation of Telluride/Mountain Village, Wi-Fi outages and substandard internet speed is expected.
- Telluride experiences "off-seasons" in the spring and fall. Many services are not available to travelers. Please check activities/restaurants/home amenities, etc. when booking these dates.
- Please note; As a ski town, many construction projects happen around town all summer. Working hours are 8 am-7 pm.

- One small vehicle can be parked in the carport.
- One nearby street parking spot can be provided for either an oversized vehicle or a second vehicle.
- Please note, street parking is limited to one spot.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

Great location but needs work

Upstairs bathroom plumbing does not work (no water!). Hot tub switches on and off all night and wakes up everyone. We just turned the breaker off. Kitchen needs a cutting board and steak knives. Front steps are broken and are a tripping hazard.

Location was 5-stars, but the house is a bit dated, a heater in one of the bedrooms didn't work, the fireplace didn't work, and the shower in one of the bathrooms is a bit finicky. Minor issues that the owner could address to make this house a real solid experience.

Fabulous Telluride home in a great location for skiing and walking everywhere.

This is a great big house with very nice accommodations! Also a wonderful deck with a hot tub. It is a fabulous location! Close to the Gondola for skiing and right in town. The owners left us a lovey welcome gift of champagne and chocolates. We loved our stay and recommend it to others!

Home away from home!

Our family has come to adore the town of Telluride and we enjoy staying in town vs in Mountain Village! This home is so conveniently located, it makes for an easy stay. Minutes from the Gondola to take us to the mountain and all the restaurants, grocery stores and shops we love. The home is well equipped for quality time with family or friends, and the hot tub sure comes in handy at the end of the ski day! We will definitely keep this home on our list for future visits and would recommend this home to others !

Wonderful Family Getaway Home!

The Legacy House was a perfect fit for our group of 8. The layout was ideal, with our sons and their friends occupying the downstairs bedrooms, and the parents upstairs in their separated Master Bedroom suite. The large center floor with living room, dining room, well-appointed kitchen, and deck (with a very enjoyable hot tub) gave us a lot of room to spread out. The ski prep area was well-designed, strategically incorporating benches for booting up as well as cubbies with individual baskets and lots of hooks for ski coats, pants, etc. While we noted some previous less than stellar reviews regarding dĂ©cor and dated finishes, we can only conclude that a refresh has occurred since those complaints were lodged—as the home was clean and new, bright and fresh. The carpet and paint seem recently done and all the little touches that make a vacation property feel like home were there—games, puzzles, extra towels, etc. We also appreciated the convenient location to the gondola and restaurants in town.

This house is great, location is great, setup is great. Accurate description and photos. However, the beds are like sleeping on box springs and are in definite need up replacement. Couches and some plumbing fixtures also need replacing.

Great Stay with only one small complaint

Fantastic Location, layout, and overall property. Only complaint was that the hot tub chemicals were not properly managed prior to the last group, which resulted in use for only 2 days by our group before it became too dirty to get in.

Great house for team building!

We rented two houses in Telluride for our team to stay in while at the Telluride Mountain Film Festival. This house was perfect. With it's huge kitchen, living space and deck, we were able to have a team dinner! The multiple beds in the rooms were wonderful since we did not have couples staying. We would definitely use this house again!

Great layout but property is old and weathered. In dire need of updating

While the house is in a great location, the overall experience did not meet our expectations. Had issues with heating the 1st floor, half the light bulbs in and outside the house were burned out. Forget trying to cook with the kitchenware in the house. I could go on but the general issues all relate back to the house being tired and old. It needs some TLC and some updating. The location to the gondola and the fact it has a hot tub keeps it at 3 stars, otherwise I would have dropped it to 2.
