Very unique property nestled in the secluded Wind River Canyon. This luxurious private home is located just below the majestic canyon walls with great views of the Wind River as it meanders through the canyon. You can book a float or fishing trip with Wind River Canyon Whitewater, grab a tribal fishing permit for your opportunity to fish the banks below or simply enjoy all this home has to offer. The home was meticulously remodeled and provides luxurious lodging that is not usually found. This remote and unique setting is yours to enjoy for less than 2 motel rooms would cost in town.

Serenity

It was a wonderful house for my family of 5. It met all of my high standards! We enjoyed our fly fishing, white water rafting and the peace and quiet of the house. It is a clean and well stocked house. Hope to return next year.

Unique place to stay in central Wyoming

Wind River Canyon (10 minutes south of Thermopolis), where this house is located is a place of truly stunning beauty and dramatic views. This is one of very few homes in the canyon. Sitting out on the front porch in the morning or evening is worth the trip in an of itself. The views of the canyon and the cliffs rising about the river in every direction are just hard to beat. The house itself is just as advertised...though the photos make it look much darker in the interior than it is. It's pretty contemporary in style and in great shape. Everything you'd want for a family or group of friends. The only negatives would be that the road through the canyon is only about 100 yards down the hills...so there is some traffic noise...and one fo the neighboring houses has a certain Appalachian flair to it. Bottom line though is that it is a great house in a great locaiton. A memorable stay. (

Perfect!

All i can say is Wow! The house was absolutely spotless and smelled great. I could tell that this home was built with quality in mind. Everything we needed was provided. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The setting is absolutely gorgeous. We had fun hiking and soaking in the hot springs in Thermopolis, which is a short distance from the house. This is a hidden gem and you won't be disappointed.

Canyon Splendor

The property is how it reads in the description. The host was very professional and helpful with all aspects of our stay. The Views are amazing! This is a great venue for rest and relaxation in one of the hidden jem valleys of Wyoming.

What a great stay!

This property was everything it stated it was. The house was welcoming, roomy, and comfortable. The surroundings were peaceful and beautiful. We had a great long weekend and the neighbor dog was the addition that made it perfect!! Our host, Alan, was there to greet us and the next day checked to see that things were okay. Definately worth a repeat visit!

Loved loved loved this property. Alan was so easy to reach and communicate with. The property was exactly as we expected. The large kitchen and open concept was fabulous for our group. Beds were comfortable and cozy. Lovely thick towels and cleanliness was great. Everything we needed was available and the kitchen was stocked and everything we needed was right there. We thoroughly enjoyed the neighborhood dogs that kept us company too. We look forward to returning during the summer when we can enjoy some fishing! Beautiful getaway!

Fishing the Big Horn

In the picturesque Wind River Canyon this property is unique since there are very few private residences. Very clean and spacious and only a short drive into Thermopolis. Host met us as we arrived and made sure we were settled in. Great experience.

Very beautiful, clean home. Super friendly manager. Great kitchen and comfortable couches, beds, towels etc. The deck is the best place to sit out on at anytime of the day. Plenty of space for our extended family.

Absolutely amazing in every way!

My husband, along with our two children; daughter 13 and son 5 stayed here for 5 nights as a spur the moment trip to spend our anniversary. He took care of us on the short week noticed that we booked his rental and he even went out of his way to prepare special arrangements for our anniversary upon our arrival with chocolates, beer in the fridge and a bottle of champagne bedside. He really went out of his way to ensure we had the best stay and experience possible. We ended up extending our stay a night. Alan is absolutely amazing! Hands down the nicest person we’ve ever dealt with. From the time we arrived to the day we left. We miss his hospitality and that beautiful home. Let’s not Forget the house. It’s huge!! Our kids still won’t stop talking About it and are begging us to build one like it lol. Pictures do not do justice!!! Its literally built in the mountainside! The views are breathtaking! It’s private and secluded. 3 stories so plenty of room for romantic parent “get aways/time”. We will definitely be back!! We’ve stayed in a lot of rental homes and this so far is our favorite! It’s in a perfect location close to all but still not to close. 8-10 min drive to gas station/grocery store. We stayed here to fly fish and Turkey hunt. It’s absolutely perfect. I can go on and on! Thank you again for everything, Mr. Alan!

Great location and value

Great location, great value and clean. Host was communicative and text a couple of times to make sure we had everything we needed and was working properly. Perfect for groups of fisherman as it’s located in the middle of the canyon. We stayed in a spring snow storm so we didn’t get to use it’s best feature; a wraparound deck overlooking amazing views. It has all of the necessities covered. Plenty of glasses, barware, dishes, etc. Beds and sheets were very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend and we look forward to this being our lodging for our annual fishing trip each year. So here are a couple of heads up about the location/property. There is no cell coverage. The house next door has satellite WiFi but it is spotty at best. No one in the group could make calls but we did get texts to go through by going outside and walking near the other house that has satellite coverage. I viewed the no internet/cell as a bonus but not everyone would. Bring your own Bluetooth speaker. There is no cable or dish for tv just a DVD player. Next time we will bring our own dvd’s and cards to entertain at night.
