Welcome to our Home. Bienvenidos, your home away from home. Our charming Mexican/Guatemalan home, where modern and authentic Mexico meet to offer you a true vacation in our 24/7 gate-guarded community of Las Gaviotas.
This home has the genuine ambiance of Mexico, thanks to the Spanish-style architecture and rustic dĂ©cor that give the home a warm and inviting feel. Each room is full of color and character, with gorgeous exposed wood and brick, and lots of natural light. It’s easy to fall in love with this home instantly, as it hosts all of the comforts of your own home but with the breezy atmosphere of a relaxing vacation. Step outside onto the terrace or roof deck to feel the ocean breeze on your face while sunbathing on one of our few padded lounge chairs and an umbrella overhead, or grilling up an evening meal and sitting by our fire pit. We know that you will enjoy our home as much as we, our friends and many guests have over the years. We only have a handful of reviews because our guests have said that if they leave too many glowing reviews, the house will become too popular and won’t be available when they want to stay. We consider that the best compliment that we could ever receive! Our many repeat guests are the best testament to the home’s welcoming nature, and we are utterly confident that you’ll agree! We are happy to provide the number of a previous guest as a reference if you prefer. The maximum number of guests that we like is 4 and this is only for the upstairs. We may extend the use of the downstairs depending on the situation

This is the second time we’ve rented a house through Alexei. He is great; very accommodating and friendly. He goes above & beyond to make sure you have a nice stay. We had a large group and spent most of our time either at the beach or up on the roof deck. For the time spent indoors, the house was clean and had everything we needed.

Great Stay Across the Border!

I couldn't be more pleased with our stay in Las Gaviotas. Alexei immediately greeted us with the 411 on everything we needed to know. He helped set up winery tours, lunch and even drove us to dinner. He was quiet the host! I couldn't recommend him and his beautiful home more!

Great Weekend!

Really enjoyed the weekend in 142 Pelicanos!. Alexei was a gracious host, the property was well cared for, the town of Gaviotas was beautiful, safe, and fun. The surf was on the small side for our weekend, but some things are out of your control. The house was much bigger than I thought it would be and very comfortably housed our six guests! I will definitely be back soon.

Thank you to Alexei, we had a great time at your place. The house was beautiful & perfectly set up for teenage surfer boys & their moms. We will definitely be back!! Alexei set up us moms with massages and any thing else we needed. Having him around the complex really is helpful.

Funky place but warm welcoming host!

Our stay was good. Our family loves Las Gaviotas, and we come every year! We would have liked a rug in the living room and the master bed was not very comfortable. This place will be great for surfer dudes but not set up for a family who cooks a lot! Wonderful host in Alexie.

Alexei is very accommodating. The place was great. We stayed 2 nights and had a blast. We had 7 people but it never felt cramped. Lots of beds. Went to the pool and had great ceviche and tacos. Definitelty would recommend this place
