I so love this hotel! Very traditional Japanese style yet adopted modern hotel experiences somehow. As soon as entering the hotel, its shoes free. Vey clean so I feel comfortable walking around with bare feet. I requested a room far away from the elevator which they gave me. The end of the hall way so it was quiet. Hot spring is perfect, you can take the elevator straight down to the floor (love this fact so that I don’t have to pass the front desk or other area!). Breakfast is a must and to die for!!! Attendants are so friendly, the food is fresh and delish with so many varieties. Love love everything! The only drawback is that since there are lots of tourists from all over the world, I want them to enforce the culture of hot springs. I saw way too many people that jumped in without washing their body first. There’s no sign to pre-wash.

The hotel is just 5 minutes walk away from the Sensōji which makes it convinient for hatsumode. Just opposite is the Asakusa Hanayashiki, Japan's oldest amusement park, and all around are izakaya that opens late into the night. The staff are able to converse in basic english conversations well which makes it much accessible to tourists. The interior is traditional japanese ryokan style where even the lift is tatami mats giving it a very cosy feel. The onsen is well maintained and its color is pretty interesting. I personally the rooms are somewhat small, but the overall experience is still good.
