Whether you`re a rail enthusiast or just craving a unique and cozy stay, this is your destination. Every room has been styled for comfort and aesthetic delight. Sink into soft bedding, unwind in cozy living spaces, enjoy the theatre room or sip a drink on the idyllic front porch a few steps from downtown.

Upstairs – Spacious Suites & Immaculate Bathroom

The second floor is dedicated to rest and relaxation. You’ll find a King Suite with its own sitting area, a 55‑inch smart TV and plenty of room to unpack and unwind. Adjacent to the suite are two more thoughtfully designed bedrooms: an elegant Queen Bedroom and a stylish Double‑Twin Room – ideal for families or friends. A full bathroom with a tiled shower, terrazzo floors, a well-lit vanity space (with ample towel bars and hooks) serves this level.

Main Floor – Gathering Spaces & Chef’s Kitchen

Step through the grand foyer and into the formal living room, featuring an enclosed gas fireplace, a leather sofa and two club chairs. An arched entryway leads to the formal dining area, where a gorgeous wood table comfortably seats six. The bright, window‑filled kitchen opens to the backyard through sliding glass doors and is a chef’s dream with a Viking range, farmhouse sink, microwave, refrigerator, coffee, tea and espresso makers. On this level you’ll also find access to the furnished front porch – perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails.

Lower Level – Private Theatre & Wellness Zone

The fully refinished basement is designed for entertainment. Enjoy movie nights in the theatre room with an 85‑inch TV, a huge sectional and an Ekornes Stressless chair and ottoman. There’s also a spacious full bathroom with a tub/shower combo and a full‑length mirror. A lobby area provides space for coats and shoes, and the adjoining laundry room doubles as an exercise area, so you can keep up your routines even while travelling.

Outdoor Amenities – Relax, Dine & Play

Outside, you’ll find plenty of space to enjoy the fresh air on the property with all the amenities of Downtown Sylvania literally around the corner.

The aforementiond covered front porch boasts stylish rattan furniture and cozy lighting.

A long concrete driveway with ample off‑street parking

High‑speed Wi‑Fi is available throughout the home, and all TVs are smart TVs for easy streaming. Whether you’re gathering with family, working remotely or simply exploring Toledo or Sylvania’s attractions, this home offers comfort, style and all the amenities you need for a memorable stay.

Guests can use the entire property, including all 3 floors, laundry and the entire yard. There is a small owners closet and a detached garage that are all the only things off limits.

I am local and readily available to help in any way to accommodate your stay. However, I’ll only stop by upon your request or for a maintenance issue, the place is your and yours alone. I am easily reachable via the Airbnb app.

We are located within the Central Business District of downtown Sylvania, just 4 houses down from the corner of Main Street and Erie, nestled along the Railroad tracks. Shops, cafes, restaurants, salons, art galleries and much more are just a few steps away.

Once you arrive at the Railway Retreat, you can walk to nearly everything you need. That being said, our large concrete driveway has ample parking and we are in a convenient part of town to reach the larger Toledo region or different sections of Sylvania.

The place is really nice and we’d like to keep it that way for all future guests. As such, we have a NO PETS and NO PARTIES policy.
