From its south facing, large balcony you can have morning coffee and watch the sun rise, and then later from the same large balcony, watch it set over distant Dartmoor. It was once the home of the Victorian super rich on a grand scale with 11 live in servants, this now a very large, lavish two story apartments in an ideal setting. With bay windows that showcase the sea view to perfection, the living area has the kind of décor that’ll make you want to stay forever. With its ornamental ceilings and chandeliers that glint, the fireplace offers a traditional touch and there’s seating for eight for those cosy evenings in.

Both the living and dining rooms lead out onto your balcony, to what many believe offers the best views of Torbay, so there is no finer vantage point to while away an afternoon watching the boats out on the water while you unwind. Back inside, the dining area seats up to eight, so you’ll be able to dine in style and catch up with the rest of your group after a busy day of adventures. There is also a utility room with a pub-size table football.

Upstairs on the first floor, you’ll find four welcoming large en-suite bedrooms designed with true relaxation in mind. The master bedroom and bedroom two have king-size beds, and bedrooms three and four have twins, so they’re perfect for younger members of the group.

Riviera Mansion is found within easy reach of Torre Abbey Sands, one of Torquay’s best-loved sandy beaches, as well as Torre Abbey House and Gardens, and the Princess Theatre. You’ll find the bustling harbour area just a short stroll away, and it’s lined with cafés and restaurants perfect for those lazy days watching the world go by.

Great location, fabulous views, spacious house with all amenities. Fabulous main bathroom with jacuzzi bath and great shower.Good Wi-Fi and TVs in all rooms with Netflix etc.very well equipped kitchen. Very clean except for oven/grill which had probably been overlooked accidentally, bathrooms and rest of house very clean.Spoke to Graham who is changing cleaners so I‘M sure this won’t happen again.Otherwise 5*

This is a large well equipped house in an elevated position overlooking Torbay.

This is a large well equipped house in an elevated position overlooking Torbay. It is very spacious with lovely high ceilings and is decorated in a way that matches the style of the house. It has a lovely balcony to relax on while admiring the views across to Paignton and Brixham The Kitchen is large and well equipped with plenty of storage. The lounge and dining room are large with lovely large windows giving fabulous views across the bay. The only negative on our last visit was the patio heaters weren't working on arrival, this made it difficult to be able to sit outside with my 81 year old Mother in law who was with us. The owner was informed but didn't get them fixed. We are aware the owner is in the process of trying to sell the property, but do not feel this is any excuse

Had a lovely week with family, fantastic weather and the views were amazing! A Perfect location, trek up the hill not as bad as i thought but the elderly might struggle, we used the multi storey car park lift and that got us most of the way up! As for the kitchen utensils they were poor for a large group, simply not enough, chipped plates etc also were noted, the only other downside was the dishwasher didn't work for most of the week, we called the owner out on the first couple of instances then just got fed up and washed up the rest of the week, not what you want on a week away!! As for everything else in the mansion, we couldn't fault it, we all had a great holiday in Torquay.

We were booked into the apartment as a last minute change, for us the trek up the hill to the apartm

We were booked into the apartment as a last minute change, for us the trek up the hill to the apartment is a bit much if you have walking difficulties so we had to drive down and park everyday. The apartment has beautiful views and is very well laid out. There is a garage for your car but I couldn't use it as I had a roof box which meant I couldn't get in. Apartment is well maintained and decorated in grand style. Does need some updating or maintenance. It doesn't spoil the holiday and is on a personal note that I would of liked some recycling facilities within the apartment. There is ample space for recycling bins. Would look to stay again but unsure if will due to location. If it were lower down would without hesitation.
