Very convenient to the waterfront and liked the ability to walk almost everywhere. The room had be renovated to reach an "upscale" relative to most small Michigan B&B's or smaller properties. However, the bathroom was small. For most, including us, it worked for 1 night. If you had to stay for a week....it would be challenging staying in that space. Overall, a good stay for 1 night.

Kelly greeted us upon arrival and was courteous and friendly. The continental breakfast remained open most of the day and also open very early morning hours as it was race weekend the next town over. So thoughtful. The fridge, microwave and coffee machine, in our room, was useful. Plenty of towels and extra blankets. A great stay! We will come again!

Cute suites, would be great for a longer stay.

Cute suites, bed was comfortable. Biggest issue is the bathroom sink. It was too small to really wash anything bit your hands, and even then it made a mess. The plig in the bathroom did not work, so I had to dry and curl my hair in the bedroom, bit there was no mirror. No end table on one side, so no where to charge their phone and leave a drink. No place to put luggage.... It's a cute place... just needs some convenience additions.

Nice room. I arrived late at night after attending a family event 30 miles away. No staff on site at check-in or at check-out. They texted me a code to enter my room, which worked fine - but my guess is they use the same codes over and over again. If that's the case - it's totally unsafe. Parking is pretty limited on the property - I was happy to find ONE space available when I pulled in. The floor in the room could have been cleaner - it was gritty/dirty, and I kept my socks on. The bathroom would not be comfortable for anyone with mobility issues or who is larger - the toilet and tub are wedged into a very small space. Plenty of room where the sink, microwave, coffee maker are. All in all - an OK stay and I would stay again, but know what you're getting.

It was an okay stay. There wasn’t much space to set down luggage or even a place to sit down except on the beds. It lacked a bathroom large enough to privately change clothes. Not too impressed.

Not a good stay

The heater smelled terrible when turned on so we had to shut it off and warm up with blankets. The shower curtain needed to be replaced as there was mold and stains on the bottom of it. The coffee carafe was half full of water and not cleaned. It was not worth the money we payed.

Nice for the family

Our second time staying at Coastal Suites, this time with the kids. They had fun picking snacks from the office and borrowing a board game to play. It was nice to have two separate bedrooms for when they fell asleep and a small kitchen for breakfast in the morning. I don’t think our room was anywhere near the 900+ sf as advertised, but it was fine.

Location was great! The unit was very clean. The complimentary breakfast was very nice! Only 2 small complaints; the 4 pillows were all overstuffed, which made them great for sitting up in bed, but impossible to use for sleep, and the small refrigerator’s compressor made loud noises every few hours.
