Was a really good couple of days - stayed for a Porsche event. Host was really helpful and good on communication. Will definitely look to stay again for Spa events!

Unfortunately, there was no prior information about the check-in process, and no one was present at the time indicated online. The host did not speak English, making communication very difficult. After we finally reached him by phone, he informed us, using a translation app, that the apartment was open. When we entered, we were shocked. This is not a typical "vacation rental." The owner lives in the apartment and is not present when booking. You are booking a private residence, which means that the host's personal belongings are present everywhere: pictures, documents, food in the refrigerator, toiletries in the bathroom, etc. This is not mentioned in the listing. Upon entering the apartment, there was a used blanket and an open bag of chips on the couch, and crumbs were scattered all over the couch. The apartment smelled extremely unpleasant and musty. The overall condition of the apartment was very run-down; the furniture was old and broken, and the entire apartment hadn't been cleaned. We felt like we were in a dilapidated, dirty student apartment. We left the apartment without staying overnight! The owner was uncooperative in his communication with Expedia and refused a refund. As a result, we received a message from the host in which he repeatedly called us liars and said we had no manners... What a wonderful, friendly man! That's what Belgian hospitality should be called :)
