A private hot tub, free ski shuttle, and seasonal patio dining are just a few of the reasons this Northstar vacation rental is at the top of our list. Located in the heart of the resort, this four bedroom home is tastefully decorated with classic mountain decor and equipped with all you'll need for your stay in the Sierras.

This home has a reverse floor plan, with an open great room, dining, and kitchen area upstairs. Two sectional sofas provide plenty of seating, and the real wood fireplace adds to the cozy ambiance. The Primary bedroom is on this floor as well, outfitted with a King bed and ensuite bath. Downstairs, you'll find three additional guest rooms, sharing two full baths.

Year round, guests will enjoy access to the private hot tub on the lower deck. The perfect end to a day on the slopes, out on the trails, or spent on the water. And during the summer months, dine outdoors on the upper deck, just off the kitchen.

Was just the spot to gather the families.

Very clean and accommodating. When we reached out to property management the got right back to us and resolved the small issue we had. Also followed up the next day to just confirm everything was fine. I greatly appreciate that.

We love staying at this home. This is our second time, and hopefully there will be a third time. We really enjoy the open plan of the house. Very family friendly. It also was immaculately clean on arrival. Unfortunately for us the Caldor fire caused so much smoke, that we rarely left the house. We are sending prayers to all the people in the Tahoe area at this time. There are a few things we would like to suggest to help the owners of this beautiful home. First, the beds were a little hard, so maybe purchasing bed foam toppers would help with this? Also, the outdoor table had big holes in it. That was ok, but there were sharp screws sticking up through the holes, so we needed to be careful. Again, our stay was so nice. Such a great place to hang out. Thank you!

Still love this place!

This was our second time renting this beautiful 4 bedroom home in Northstar for our girlfriend getaway and we still love it! We especially like the two sofa sectionals in the main area. There is plenty of towels, including beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas. Comfortable rooms and we look forward to relaxing in the hot tub, too! The only small suggestions to improve this wonderful vacation home is a new outside table, new dining chairs (no back support when your sitting there for hours), coffeemaker is worn and you can't read any of the buttons and no automatic ice maker - just two trays. Nothing that would prevent us from coming back!

We spent the Thanksgiving week with the family at Deer Hollow. The house was adequate, but for similar houses we have rented in Northstar and Tahoe Donner, it was lacking. In 2 of the downstairs bedrooms, there were no dressers. All the clothes we had packed for the week had to be layed on the floor. In the upstairs master bedroom with a king bed, there was only one nightstand, so everything that should have been on the nightstand was put on the floor. The other thing that was lacking were supplies. No laundry soap (but we were requested to start the laundry before we left), toilet paper and paper towels were is sparse supply. There was also a nice fireplace in the living room, but the garage, where the firewood was kept, had a sign that it was only to be used by the owner. Also, there was no bear box outside the house, so all the garbage had to be trucked to the garbage cans offsight. If we are spending $600 to $700 a night plus fees, this all should have been included.

The DVD player did not work, the grill was not cleaned, the hot tub did not heat up fully, the top stairs shower leaked the entire time we were there, one of the downstairs showers did not work at all, old washer and dryer that were completely loud/could not run at night, old electric stove, old fridge with no ice maker, old coffee maker, upstairs bed was old. Garbage was strewn outside in front and in back. Will never rent this house again, ridiculous rent and cleaning charges. Bad customer service. Impossible to get pool time, no gym.

Perfect summer getaway!

We stayed at Deer Hollow for our extended weekend getaway with six people during the summer. The photos don’t do the home justice! Big, spacious and well stocked. Very private and quiet neighborhood. Great location, too! The property management was excellent. They have excellent communication and even though one ceiling fan was not working, they sent a maintenance worker within two hours. Since it was a Saturday, a technician could not come out until after we were gone. The property management called to see if we needed more box fans, but we had enough. We are definitely coming back next year!

Attending grandson’s wedding at Martis Camp

Looked at a number of places at Northstar and kept coming back to this one because it had all of the amenities that I was looking for. Deer Hollow did not disappoint. The rental process was easy. Everything was ready on time. The cabin was very clean and looked as it appeared on the website. It was very roomy for all 7 of us. We didn’t crowded and had plenty of personal space. Management was responsive when we had questions. If I were going to buy a home in the mountains, I would like one just like this one. I would consider rent this home again.

The place was exactly what we needed for my family. Open floor plan, lots of light, very clean with appropriate furnishings (not expensive, but all in very good shape and well maintained, and it didn't feel cheap). Excellent amount of common space for 6 people with two generous double-couch seating areas. And the hot tub was wonderful! We would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family with elementary school aged children is so pleased with this cabin. It is well maintained, updated, cozy and spacious cabin. The location with northstar shuttles was perfect for our family of skiers and snowboarders. Highly recommend. Maintenance company was also very responsive in answering questions and being available. Great service.

Bright, spacious, and comfy Northstar house!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of four really enjoyed our week at Deer Hollow at Northstar. The house was very comfortable, clean, and spacious. We loved the upstairs open living space, high ceilings, many windows and lots of natural light, comfy couches and blankets, powerful fireplace, private hot tub, and TV/video games. The property description and photos represented the house accurately. The property management company was very easy to work with and responsive both before and during our trip. And we always love the Northstar shuttle! We cooked most of our meals at home, although we did enjoy a few of the local restaurants: Jax at the Tracks and Village Pizzeria in Truckee, Jason's Beachside Grill in King's Beach, and Rubicon Pizza Co. at Northstar. Overall, a great experience, even though we didn't get any snow. Thanks!
