Pet friendly private newly remodeled house 2 minutes from Donner Lake docks and beaches, perfect for family getaways. Centrally located for winter and summer fun! This is the place to be for tons of activities and possibilities. It’s a short drive to the best ski resorts, only 10 minutes to Sugar Bowl and 20 minutes to Squaw and Northstar, and 15 mins to downtown Truckee giving you access to restaurants, bars, and shopping. Come back from the slopes and relax in our private hot tub located on the front deck.

Really great place. Clean and up to date. Fully stocked, great location, very peaceful, dog friendly, lots of room. I loved the gas fireplace so I didn't have to deal with wood. The beaches were closed since it was fall but it was a quick walk to get there. I felt very safe since it was just me and my dog. I would definetely stay again.

We had an amazing stay! The home was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly located for easy access to nearby hiking trails. It was the ideal base camp for exploring the area, and we’d love to stay here again.

Our cabin was very nice! Needs some good cleaning, including drawers in kitchen, and cobwebs in kitchen corners.The rooms were very nice size and beds very comfy. Two bathrooms and two washers and dryers made our stay even better with 4 adults and 2 children. Plenty of bath and beach towels.Some areas that could use attention- -As above, could use some better cleaning-Very little silverware, no teaspoons.-Could also be stocked a little better with start up coffee and sugar. Coffee filters not the correct size for coffee maker. -No washcloths available. -Grill would not light, no matches available (plenty of propane available).-Living room and hall carpet pretty worn.These things were minor to the overall comfort of this property. A relative lives nearby and after seeing this very nice cabin, would recommend to friends and relatives despite the few areas of concern cited.Thank you for allowing us to rent your lovely home. We certainly would consider renting again if we are in the area.

Great location, a short walk to the lake. Quiet street. The hot tub was definitely a huge bonus! The layout worked for us because we put the four boys in the master bedroom, with the loft, and we took the guest room and the other bathroom. Would absolutely rent again!

Quiet location

Nice quiet area one block from Donner Lake yet is only a few minutes from Truckee. The house is user friendly for my wife who uses a walker to get around including a walk in shower. More than enough room for two and a dog. Well equipped kitchen and a bed that is supportive.

Great spot!

We had a lovely family weekend at the Lazy Bear Bungalow! Check in was super easy, the house is great with a gas fireplace, nice kitchen, comfy couches and beds. Plenty of TVs, which the kids were pumped about. Hot tub was definitely a plus! Loved being able to bring our dog. It is waking distance to the west end beach, but, unfortunately no dogs! Bummer. Overall, a great spot and would stay here again!

Perfect family getaway!

Premium location on the southwest side of Donner Lake! Home was perfect down what we needed & the hot tub was an added bonus. Stairs/ladder to the loft was a little intimidating for our 3 & 5 year old, but they warmed up to it by the end of our stay. Highly recommend for a family looking for an amazing location.

Lovely stay!

We enjoyed our stay here and glad we found such a great pick. It was almost perfect for myself, my partner, our two friends, and two pups. One of the bedrooms had a loft that had two bedrooms in there (I didn't realize this until we got there). If we could give some constructive criticism, we would recommend a bath mat for both bathrooms and one for the back door (so people can dry their feet before entering after using the hot tub), trash cans in the bathroom, more kitchen towels and towels for the hot tub, and maybe use some WD-40 on the doors or help it get less sticky. Overall, a great stay with a fully equipped kitchen (had both stainless steel options and non-stick). We're glad we got to stay at this clean and well-furnished place.

great spot!

The house was very spacious and a perfect spot for our summer weekend. Just a short (7min), flat walk to West End Beach. Robert was an excellent host— we only had one question but he was responsive and solved the problem quickly. Definitely recommend!

Nice weekend getaway!

I stayed at Robert’s place for a weekend with my wife, 2 young kids, and some friends and their kids. The house was great and provided everything we wanted for a place to stay for the weekend. We really enjoyed our time there and wouldn’t hesitate to go back again!
