As painters, we thoroughly appreciate your property: the landscape, the view and the peacefulness of the site. We didnât need to go elsewhere to paint! The house was cozy and made us feel at home. In 2 words, perfection and satisfaction!
We stayed for my son's graduation. My wife and I brought my daughter, my mother, and my wife's father. The house was perfect! We are not city peopke, so we decided it would be best for us to stay outside the city in a quiet location. This house has 2 masters and two standard bedrooms. 3 bathrooms. It fit us very comfortably. The ac works well, and there is a nice pool in the back of the house. It can't be seen from the house, so if you have small children you may need to keep an eye on them.It was about a 40 minute drive to the University, but it was worth it to us to have the longer drive so we could retreat to the silent desert. We were surrounded by saguaros and mesquite, and watched the wildlife: mule deer right outside the kitchen window, lizards zipping around the wash and the driveway, roadrunners, owls, rabbits, falcons, buzzards... and silent moonrises... silent except for the sound of the warm night wind. This place is amazing. We read other reviewers complain about the rough road. The road is a little bit bumpy for what... 80 yards?? My son's BMW drove across it without any issue. I say, if you are intimidated by a few bumps in a short road, you don't deserve this experience anyway. OR, grow up, toughen up, and drive/think/act like an adult. The road is part of the experience. It is the demarcation that strips away the weight of city life and city schedules. When you drive slowly across those bumps, you start to *feel* the desert. Let it happen.
We were extremely happy with our stay. It's a ways out from Tucson proper but perfect for where we needed to be to visit family. The night sky view, the quiet, and the free Animal Planet outside our windows was worth the drive out.
We were surprised by how much space there was and each room had plenty of linens/blankets, backup toiletries, and the kitchen was well equipped. And the AC held up REALLY well to the Tucson heat. The hosts were also very responsive when we needed to ask questions. I am so glad we went with this property and we've already recommended it to other family members with plans to return on future trips ourselves.
While this wasnât an issue for us, I do want to be transparent that the road into the property is a little rough and you have to cross two washes, so I donât recommend small cars. It's also easy to miss the turn into the property at night so just a word of caution before you book. This property is also obviously out in the dessert and critters will naturally make appearances here and there.
The house was clean and has everything you need for a quiet getaway. There were some problems with the WiFi going out in the evening but it wasnât ongoing. Just short outages. The instructions were clear for checking in and out.
The road is a little rough getting to the driveway so take it slow. It was very quiet and we really enjoyed the location. We took our bikes as there itâs a lot of cycling in the area. Itâs also just a short drive to town so it was the best of both worlds for our vacation.
My only complaint was the number of spiders in the house but maybe no one had stayed there for awhile. Iâm sure that wonât be a problem if people continue renting this place on a regular basis.
