Welcome to Sherwood House!

Sherwood House is tucked into a beautifully historic neighborhood, surrounded by oak, pine, and magnolia trees. This home is just 2 blocks from the stadium (10-15 minute walk to stadium)!

The Space:
- 4 bed/2.5 bath house.
- Sleeps up to 8 Adults + children (K, K, Q&T, F(futon), F&T).
- Firepit table on back porch!
- Brick Firepit in backyard!
- You are provided with a starter set of 25 logs. Additional wood is $1 per piece.
- View of wooded backyard!
- Covered carport with seating, as well as a back porch with seating!

The Historic District:
This house is located in the stunning, City of Tuscaloosa's Historic District! When staying in the historic district, you will be extremely close to Downtown Tuscaloosa, the University of Alabama's Campus/Strip, as well as wonderful walking trails with an old world, comfortable feel. The trade off is that there are strictly enforced noise ordinances and rules (noise - inside after 10:30, visitor restrictions, & parking restrictions). It is crucial that these rules are adhered to, as the historic district is under a lot of scrutiny. It is important that our guests are respectful of full time residents who have made their full-time home in this area.

Walking distance to UofA campus, Bryant Denny Stadium, walking trails, downtown restaurants, shopping, and more!

* Any stays longer than 2 weeks will be required to pay an additional cleaning fee. The house must be cleaned at a minimum of every 2 weeks. NO Exceptions. *

* Please Read Prior to Booking: Be sure to enter the correct number of people to receive an accurate quote/price. Pricing varies based on the number of people. Please be aware that you upon booking, you will be required to sign the Bama Vacation Rentals Rules forms directly with our property management company texting system called AKIA. **

* The futon is NOT made up unless requested, and payment of a $25 per upper bunk fee. It is not set up unless requested VIA our sleeping arrangement form, upon booking. *

*A maximum of two pets are allowed with a pet fee of $100 per pet. If you have additional pets, you must receive permission in writing from management and pay additional pet fees.*

Great game day house

My family and I booked this house for a Bama game. House was great. Location was great. Took about 20 min to walk to the stadium. The owners were amazing and very responsive!! Highly recommended. We will definitely be back.

Graduation Fall 2023

I booked the Sherwood House for my son’s graduation from the University of Alabama. The stay included his 2 siblings, a fiancĂ©e, his grandmother and Aunt and myself and him since he had to be out of his apartment the day before graduation. The house was fabulous. Plenty of room for us all to sleep and get ready, which was tricky since graduation was at 8:30am. The owners were very gracious with a little basket of treats and goodies for us on arrival. The property and neighborhood were very nice to walk and quiet. Wish we had more time to make use of the fire pit, but we were very busy all weekend. Everything was close and convenient. The place was very clean on arrival and very comfortable. I would definitely book this house again if we have a reason to return. The leasing office kept in contact by text during our visit in case we needed anything. But the house was well stocked and very well taken care of so we did not need anything. Thank you for opening your house to us at this exciting time.

Roll Tide getaway

Convenient location about a 15 minute walk to the stadium and just a couple of minutes down the hill to the trail by the river. Plenty of room for 8+ guests except just 2 1/2 bathrooms, so some sharing is required. All in all, a great spot for an Alabama weekend getaway!

Amazing trip!

We loved staying at the house and the location was perfect for us touring the University of Alabama with our teenage daughter. The Management company was by far the best we have interacted with. They checked in with us prior and during the trip and we’re so considerate and nice. We will definitely be booking a stay again there when our daughter goes to college!

Great location for touring the University! The house was spotless and was stocked with everything we needed. There were towels folded on each of the beds for our arrival. There was also a coffee station set up and a snack basket. The team was very responsive via text message. I also appreciated that the house had an easy to work alarm system if you wanted to use it. Overall a great stay! We will be back!

Perfect T-Town Location

My family stayed here to spend Christmas with our extended family. It worked perfectly for us and allowed plenty of space for everyone to spread out. We even had extended family over for dinner a couple of times. It's centrally located by the UA campus and the river offering easy access to walking trails, shopping, and the university. I recommend it to anyone in town for a game, campus event, or anything in Tuscaloosa. I

Perfect property

We stayed here to drop my son off at the University of Alabama and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The property was less than a minute from the residence halls and within 6-7 min from everything we did. It couldn’t have been more convenient! The property itself was SO clean and very easy to find. we also appreciated the snacks!! We were in communication throughout our visit with the owner which made us feel very welcome. we look forward to going back!

Cozy, Comfortable and Clean

Sherwood House was a wonderful place for us to stay during our first visit to Tuscaloosa. It was clean, easy to find and the property management company was easy to work with from start to finish. I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of information on the counter upon check in but after reviewing it, I realized much of it was already included in my registration packet. We appreciated the welcome snacks and the coozies. We didn't spend much time outside but I could see how that would be a major plus for this home as there is space in the carport and on the back porch. We loved the lights on the back porch. The bedrooms were comfortable and nicely spread out for everyone to have their own space. The bathrooms were clean and the linens were very nice. Thank you. Hope to be back soon.
