Stay: Rooms were big and the upstairs rooms have cool views from the balcony! The bathrooms were old and didn't feel clean to me. Which I assumed is ok for the price but there are other places that do better. The sheets also had some stains, but were def washed. The staff was very attentive and caring though. So nothing on them!
Location: If you want to be in the heart of tourist area but be away from the main road, this is a very convenient place/solid choice. It was quiet in the room (except maybe the live music from nearby bar till 10:30pm and then they go quiet) and property, but I didn't love how much traffic and tourists there were as soon as we got to the main road 5mins walk away. Ubud is very touristy near Ubud Palace. Lots of great dining options though.
Although it was a little inconvenient and unclean, it was not bad considering the price. The staff were kind, so if you feel inconvenienced, it's a good idea to ask for help. I was also able to borrow a hair dryer.
Verbleef hier 4 nachten.
Great location between the monkey forest and the Palace. Walking distance to restaurants, trip operators, and next door to great bar with a lovely garden and live music. But very quiet at the hotel which was perfect. The hosts are so nice and the breakfast was great.
Arrived at the hotel around 2:45PM
And they looked confused as to our arrival,
Keeping in mind we booked 3 weeks prior for a twin room. Long story short we spent the next hour plus, back and forwardâŠas they did not have a twin room available. They tried to ship us off to another hotel which was in an inconvenient location⊠the reason we booked this place was because it was on a very central road and locationâŠ. The way it was handled was poor⊠trying to convince us we should go elsewhere⊠and made it feel like it was our fault⊠when clearly they screwed up the booking..The owner told my friend they accepted people that came through on the day with money for a twin room⊠but itâs a complete jokeâŠeventually around 4pm we gave up and said weâll go anywhereâŠthey sent us to another place that was cheaper and they made money on us no matter what. (please do not have an option available for twin room if you cannot honor this on arrival)âŠ. It would have solved everything and we wouldnât have booked there in the first place. FYI I looked up the price difference between the hotels original bookingâŠ. was about $50AUD per night - the one we were shipped off to was $38AUDâŠ. We already had breakfast included on this as well⊠so it made no difference saying weâll get breakfast at the second hotelâŠ. Easily the worst experience Iâve had checking in anywhere⊠thatâs from numerous stays in many places in Bali! Thankfully majority of places are really good.
This was an excellent stay in a perfect location walking distance to all the hot spots right in ubud. The staff was very friendly and comfortable large room. The breakfast was included and decent. Good price stay for good location. The only downfall was the towel was old, so I used my own. Would stay again!
Great host and friendly sraffs. Good air con and wifi but warm/hot water for shower is not consistent. Roomy and clean, hot water for hot drink arrive daily morning. Closed to main Monkey Forest Road. Can order Grab car or bike for sight seeing outside town. Lots and lots of shops and eateries on the main road. Your money worth++++!
A brief 2 night solo stay whilst visiting Ubud. Location is great, just tucked away in a back street off the main road in Ubud, literally about 4 minutes walk to the Palace.
Room, bed and accommodation was basic but adequate for a short stay, the bathroom is fine but could certainly do with being updated, though all functional.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating, serving breakfast on the patio at whatever time you wanted. Consisted of tea and coffee, omelette, toast and tropical fruit.
Great cheap clean and friendly base to explore Ubud by foot. Would stay again.
Booked the twin room with balcony to begin with, however the bathroom was in such bad condition that we asked to switch to a double room instead. The staff was helpful in letting us switch, unfortunately we saw a cockroach in the bathroom one day but no reappearance. Breakfast so-so but works.
