Hire a bike and cycle along the well-maintained cycle paths through typical Dutch landscapes with wide fields, windmills and charming villages. Visit the historic centre of Alkmaar and experience the traditional cheese market. Stroll through the nature reserve around Fort bij Krommeniedijk, observe rare bird species in their natural environment and take a day trip to Amsterdam.
