Mineshaft Chalets Side #2
The Mineshaft Chalets feature handmade antique mining decor along with real artifacts from local mines. We are located 15 minutes from Ironwood, Michigan at the beautiful Whitecap Mountains and 20 minutes from Lake Superior. We offer direct access to the ski hill, prime views of Weber Lake, and lots of fun for all! Whether you're sitting by the fire or out on the slopes, Mineshaft Chalets is the place to stay!
We enjoyed our stay. But it was a tight fit (not sure there are enough beds) for 18 people. Cabin was clean and cozy. Loved having the two kitchens. One downfall, a board and skis were stolen from the outside area of the cabin when we were there. We didnât expect that from such a desolate area, and not busy due to minimal snow. Lock up your stuff if you stay here!
This place was perfect! We have plenty of room for all. It was so nice and clean. You are able to walk right out the door and be on the chair lift. We will defiantly come back!
The chalet was very clean and a very comfortable place to stay. There was plenty of room for our group of 10 adults. The linens and towels were very nice and everything was clean. It was a great location for skiing, both alpine and x-country as well as snowshoeing. With 2 living rooms and kitchens it would be a great place for families.
The Mineshaft is awesome. Great location. And the property has everything you need for a great ski trip.
And the cleanliness is the best I've seen in a long time.
Very convenient to the hill for ski in ski out. The kitchen had everything we needed. There were even humidifiers, wouldn't have had to bring ours. Plenty of room to spread out. We had 10 people.
The House was very nice and clean. Plenty of bathrooms and two kitchens. Beds were comfy and the rooms have good control of temperature for different preferences. I would recommend an all wheel drive vehicle in winter as the road to get there is narrow road that is slippery and has some hills. Parking will likely need to be on the road if you don't have an all wheel drive, but the road isn't very busy and there is ample parking. No ice or ice makers, so bring your own ice. Wifi was reasonable but cell coverage is spotty. Otherwise everything is well stocked, clean, and setup for a great stay. A beautiful place.
