Good hotel, so-so Breakfast

The main breakfast room attendant is a real pain. (Not our first visit). He spends more time chatting at guests who might want to be left alone, and talking about himself, than he does putting the food out or checking the empty coffee pots. Unasked, he went around pouring syrup on people’s waffles. Meanwhile, we had to ask at the front desk to get coffee.

Very clean and well maintained property. Decent breakfast and great coffee. Wish it had a pool or hot tub but it was still a great place. Easy parking situation. Only unfortunate thing was the massive amount of road work right next tot he hotel effecting the traffic patterns and road.

I loved the bed! Honestly hands down, this is the best bed I’ve slept in at any hotel I’ve ever stayed at and this includes some higher dollar places. There was only one thing I would have changed for my room. When you have a non-carpeted floor, it would be nice to have an area carpet or even a runner placed next to the bed so one doesn’t step onto a cold floor with bare feet. Over all, I very much enjoyed my short stay. I would definitely stay here again if only just for the incredible bed.

The hotel is right beside the big skytrain upgrade, so there is a LOT of construction noises, dust and limited parking. The check in staff was very kind and let our kids re-check us in a couple times so they could have a turn with the pen. The room was fine, but really needed a better cleaning. There was almonds on the floor, the light switches had grime on them, dead bugs in the lights and the toilet paper holder had (what we hope was) rust spots all over it. The bed was fine, a little firm. Sheets were clean. Water pressure was acceptable. It was very un-soundproofed. The toddler above us sounded like they had a really great dance party for a long time. Also no cleaning elevator, so be prepared to wait awhile or use the stairs. There is also no pool. I made the mistake of booking quickly and assuming there was based on pictures. The hotel shares a parking lot with a rec centre and you can pay and go there if you want to go swimming.

Stayed at Comfort Inn Surrey — overall a good experience. The restaurant offers a 5-star view and the breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Gym was nice, but some areas could use better cleaning. Cleanliness overall was okay, but not perfect. Still, a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Great stay the staff were very helpful and pleasant the only problem was that a group of young hockey players from a different country were also staying and were making far too much noise into the early hours shouting and slamming doors.

Newly renovated, clean, and modern. Large room with comfortable bed and suitable working area. Good amenities with breakfast included. Staff were friendly, professional, and attentive. Area is undergoing major construction with addition of skyway trains and lacked some choices for dining outside of Baselines Pub and Grill next door. Would stay again.
