Great suites near everything, for our family.

Great location, near the Robson shops, library district and Canada place. Hotel room was clean, and the suites were great with a kid. The bed was billed as a queen, but I think was a double and it was not super comfortable. But the view from the 19th floor was great and we liked that we could walk to places easily.

Comment from Hotel Management

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your lovely review and comments. I was pleased to read that you were able to enjoy our vibrant neighbourhood. We are walking distance to almost everything in downtown Vancouver. All of our suites with one bed in the bedroom are either King beds or Queen beds. We do also have suites with 2 double beds in the rooms if you are needing the extra sleeping space. Hope to see you back again soon, Caitlynn

Close to downtown. Great for cruising travelers.

Pros: Views are amazing. Rooms are modern and super clean.
Location: Near Gas Town restaurants and within walking distance to Cruise Terminal (even with rolling luggage)
The hotel is very clean. People are friendly. Elevators are a bit tricky to figure out...One word of advice, be careful if the staff offers you complimentary upgrade to higher floor. We understood the upgrade was "free" and the next morning, were charged by hotel staff. May have been a misunderstanding, but we were both English speaking, so? But other than that, this hotel is very comfortable, safe, clean. 4.5 stars :)

Had to pay upgrade

Pros: Great location for the World Women's Cup Soccer game. Walked to everything.
Location: Close to Gastown, waterfront, shuttle, city buses, shopping, restaurants.
The booked room was terrible. I paid an upgrade fee to get a much better room. Hotel was very helpful. Parking was an additional $33 per day. Not mentioned when I booked.

Great Location!

Pros: Close restaurants
Our family of four (two adults, two kids) were very comfortable staying for 2 nights at the Delta Vancouver Suites. We loved that the suite gave us more room than just a hotel room. We were within very easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and Canada Place. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the cookies that we received upon check-in were delicious!! We would definitely stay here again!

Good Hotel!

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet
The hotel was clean, and up to date with a friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was well situated and the staff accomated my multiple bookings by combining them into a room we didn't have to move from. I opted to upgrade my room at check-in and was very pleased with it. This isn't a resort hotel but it was a good value for the price I paid and nothing disappointed.

Reasonable Rates and Conveinient to Public Transportation and Sites

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, close to skytrain
The Delta is very close to the Skytrain from the airport, public transportation and the sites. Do not come into the Delta from the Hastings Street address; there are about 20 steps to get to the lobby from that entrance and it was hard to negotiate with heavy luggage; instead stay on Seymour Street and enter at the main lobby; much easier. We arrived around 5:30 pm and our room was not available yet. The Delta gave us appetizer vouchers to use in the Lounge/Dinner restaurant while we waited. Within an hour our room keys were delivered and we were able to go up to the room. The room was a suite, the living room area had 2 chairs, an otterman, desk and TV Cabinet area. The mini bar was empty and the chairs were not very comfortable, perhaps a small couch would of been better. The bathroom was large but did not have any storage area for toiletries. The coffee maker was in the bathroom and ours did not work. I requested a working machine that never arrived, but there is a Starbucks across the street so coffee was not a problem once you were up and about. The shower had some mildew in the grout lines, but was fairly clean otherwise. The bedroom was nice, we had 2 double beds which were very comfortable and there was another TV in the bedroom, perfect for folks who watch different programs. The Delta serves breakfast and lunch on the 2nd floor and the 2 times we had breakfast it was good. Dinner is served in the Lounge and it can be very loud in there so it is not a good atmosphere for dinner, but there are an abundance of restaurants in the area to choose from. The Delta is a average hotel, close to many of city life's attractions, but it is also on the edge of what I would call a seedy area.

Bell Staff is extremely helpful!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, centrally located
All around wonderful hotel. Each room a suite. Would easily give this a 5 for all categories but no hotel is perfect and we only experienced 3 days there. But, it would be my go to hotel for YVR. My husband got a lot of information from the Bell Staff. There was no concierge, per se, so we inquired about YVR from them. They were very knowledgeable in all categories, even advising us where "not" to go in the city. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as it was expensive and we were looking for something quick. There is a Starbucks across the road, but they are not very nice to "outsiders". The room as adequate for our needs though my sister did not like the long, winding hallway to get to the bedroom and living area. Not all rooms are the same. If you don't like yours, ask for another. They are accommodating though they were full when she asked for a different room. Free Internet but doesn't work well in rooms. Better in lobby. Very close to the waterfront and Canada Place. As well as the train station which was a block away. Gastown also close.

Nice hotel in the center of it all.

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: matress needs replacing
The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The front desk clerk gave us an excellent suggestion to a wonderful restuarant for dinner (Market Street Cafe). The room was huge, clean and very comfortable. The location was perfect. Close to everything or to transit.. My only complaint is the mattress was a bit worn and uncomfortable but not so much as to not get decent sleep. Would definitely stay here again.

Spacious but has a few missing amenities.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
While the hotel was in a very convenient location for walking to prime spots it did have some issues. The address is for a street entrance with only stairs and the level entrance is down a side street that you would have to know about to use. It's o-k for a private car but if you use the Canada Rail and walk it was a VERY unpleasant surprise. The "upstairs" dining room is for breakfast and lunch only and the meager dinner is served only in the bar with multiple TVs and loud conversations. Mini-bars are in all of the rooms but they are empty! Staff were pleasant eventhough somewhat unaware of other dining options in the area. Pretty good value as long as you don't expect everything as advertised.
