Step outside to walking paths, open green space, and some of the city’s best cafés and local eats. Perfect for couples, small families, or anyone looking to experience Vancouver like a local.

This suite has a large bedroom with a queen bed and rolling barn door for privacy, a small den with a twin fold out sofa that is only comfortable for a child and a rolling barn door for privacy, and a convertible dining table that can become a double bed in your private living space.

Please note Very Important - The bathroom is connected to this space and it is private to you when you are using it, however there is an access door to the same bathroom from the other side which is used by the other suite that we rent. You are using the same bathroom as the "Garden View Suite" which is also bookable so you could have the entire floor if you want, with another private bedroom on the other side. However, you will never see anyone else because both bathrooms and both suites are lockable from each side. No one should ever encounter a stranger during their booking.

If you have pets, this is actually a great spot for dogs, as there is a dog park directly across the street. Please do not allow your dogs on the furniture however thanks! Any pet accidents will incur a damage charge of course, so best only to bring very well trained pets. Thanks!

We look forward to welcoming you to this beautiful area - the only lake inside Vancouver proper!

Basic room, bed not the best and up against the wall, so not the best for a couple. Whilst the appearance of the bathroom may appeal to some, all the fake plants would have been very hard to clean No way apparent to operate air con, so was quite stuffy. Images online do not reflect the rooms we had, though there are other rooms we did not see Park opposite was lovely and a cafe down the road for breakfast was superb

Best thing about this property is the location. It’s a ground level suite in a very old house and the unit reflects that. Big red flag was discovering on entering the property that it had a Jack and Jill shared bathroom with another ground floor unit. This was not noted in the Expedia ad, and was buried down in the listing and a further drop-down in the Vrbo listing. This made the unit uncomfortable and from my perspective unsafe. When you’re in the bathroom, the only locks you have to. Both units are a typical bathroom passage set with a button lock on each side. Not exactly secure, but the real problem is when you are back in the unit itself. The only thing preventing someone from the other side getting into your unit from the bathroom is a metal hook into a metal eye. You have no real locking lock on your side. I had a booking for three nights, but left after one hour. The owner has updated the Vrbo listing to make the shared bathroom, a little more obvious, but that doesn’t solve what I think is a security issue. I have not had satisfactory response from Expedia/VRBO or the owner in terms of refund. There is nothing much in the unit to recommend it. One bed is a mattress on the floor under the stairs. The furniture is all old mismatched and very funky. The only towels were too old, thin, swim towels.

Disliked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
To be fair, the host contacted me saying the unit had been accidentally double booked and gave me the option of cancelling or taking the similar upstairs unit with the caveat of some shared spaces noted but I could not have been prepared for what we were about to get.To start, we were notified to call the host to gain access to the property which seemed odd rather than a lockbox combo but though, “oh well”. When we got there I called but no answer, we milled about until we noticed movement in the house. Then knocked on the door to be greeted by two young children who showed us to our “rooms” which turned out to be inside the hosts primary residence which they were staying in! I should have initially asked about the shared spaces but being a VRBO, I never thought we’d be sharing the space in that way and as we sat in our room suddenly a random guy walked in the house and walked past our door (no idea who that guy was!). The room our son was to stay in had to be accessed by a rickety ladder and a small hatch in the ceiling. I don’t recall any locks on our doors/hatch and didn’t feel safe as anyone could have walked in and rifled through our luggage or passports and conversely we didn’t have a key to the front door so couldn’t even come and go as we might have needed. Needless to say, we walked out after 15 minutes and found a motel instead. We requested a partial refund acknowledging the host put effort forward but were stuck with this fee and a motel for the night.
