Great area, close walk to beach at English Bay and many restaurants. Very close to Stanley Park, a great walking park. Suites were very large, housekeeping was so nice, did an amazing job. Really just like staying in an apartment, but with housekeeping. So comfortable

First trip to Vancouver

Pros: Location was perfect. Walkable to down town. Easy access to hwy 1. Two blocks from Roslyn park.
Cons: The hotel was comfortable. Staff were responsive. It was clean. Area was quiet and relaxing.
Location: Walking distance to every type of restraunt. Walking distance to clubs. Walking distance to Rosaylan park. Twenty minute drive to light house park.

vancouver stay

Pros: Staff and comfort and location

The staff is incredibly helpful. There was nothing they would not do for you. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom great. The location is perfect. We took the hop on hop off bus to get a lay of the land and it felt like we were near everything especially Stanley Park which is a gem. Nearby are restaurants of every ethnicity and a 24 hour Benz coffee shop, Safeway, etc. lastly the laundry facilities at the hotel are superb! Plenty of machines at a reasonable price.

Great hotel, clean, friendly staff

Pros: Lots of space, friendly staff, location.
Cons: Faster housekeeping (our room was not turned until later afternoon and by then we wanted to rest). Beds and pillows need major updating!
Location: Lots of small great restaurants. In walking distance to Stanley park and the waterfront, if you are up for a bit of a walk.
We rented the two bedroom/one bath suite. To our surprise, one of the bedrooms had two double beds instead of one, so it could accommodate 6 people easily (though you have to pay extra for more than 4 persons). Plenty of space, large living-room. I believe at least one of the couches was a folded bed, so extra sleeping space if needed (not sure if that's the case with each room). Kitchen dated but very clean, they have dishes, glasses, bottle opener, etc. Bathroom dated and small but very clean. Very friendly staff, they tried really hard to get our two suites close to each other, but they can't promise it, first come/first serve system (our party arrived in two groups on consecutive days). Secure entry (you need a key card to get in and out of the building). Secure parking for a daily fee (about $23 US per day), but otherwise parking would be a nightmare in that area. Very close to lots of great small restaurants, withing walking distance from Stanley Park. The front desk is open limited hours, you receive an email with instructions on how to reach the on-call staff. Area seemed safe. On the negative side, pillows sucked, the beds were old and varied in comfort and you don't have a suite thermostat (all centrally controlled). It is not a fancy place but appropriate for the rates they charge. We would stay here again.

Apartment-like hotel in quiet neighborhood

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rosellen. We reserved a 2-bedroom suite with another couple and we had a very satisfying experience. The location couldn't be better and the staff was most helpful--we needed assistance in scanning many documents and they took care of it right away to our great relief! The only complaint we have is that the second bedroom was very small--too small really. It barely had room for a DOUBLE-bed!....and on top of that, it was totally pushed against the wall. It would be OK for kids but was a problem for adults. The other room 'though was roomy and very comfortable with a TV. In spite of this we plan to stay at the Rosellen again during our next trip to Vancouver but would reserve a one-bedroom suite instead.
