It was so peaceful. We got the upgrade with tub in room and balcony. I told them it was our anniversary and they gave us complementary chocolate strawberries, and wine. It was so sweet. The staff was friendly and nice. We really enjoyed our stay. It’s little steps to get to room and stuff but nice lol. You can’t beat the view. It’s about a 50 min drive to city but a nice scene of driving there. I would definitely stay there again. Loved it.

Surprisingly beautiful and peaceful!

Pros: Private and Quiet, large balconies with Hummingbirds always feeding there. Hammock and hot tub outside. Huge tropical bathrooms with waterfalls.
Cons: Nothing!!
Location: Situated in a Cloud Forest so it's a bit cooler than other areas but we loved it. Several Waterfalls in the property to hike to, animals to see, etc..
The rooms and property are even better in person. Huge rooms in a lovely setting. It was so rainy during our visit on day 3 the resort allowed us to transfer to their sister property in Arenal "The Springs" for a couple of nights and it was fabulous! NO upcharge for the change just a courtesy transfer. Outstanding service at both hotels. We loved the animal sanctuarys at both locations where the owner has saved many wild animals and you can visit them any time during the day. The tours offsite were excellent and so easy to book. The food at the restaurant was 5 star. Costa Rica has come a LONG way in dining even surpassing CA restaurants in quality. We toured MI Cafecita a little organic coffee farm nearby and loved it. The fresh Tilapia is delicious and raised on site. Coffee was outstanding and the tour was fun and informative. Highly recommend it all!

Fabulous Mountain Resort

We expected a rustic experience, but our accommodations at Peace Lodge were comfortable & elegant, with the added experience of an educational zoo of rescued animals. The animal tours & feedings were fascinating; the resort's massive flower beds, nearby waterfalls, and mountain vistas were stunning. Our rooms - each with a fireplace & hot tub - far exceeded our expectations, as did the service. The resort is built high on a hillside, so prepare for (well-maintained) steps. Our stay was terrific.

Amazing hotel

Our family loved this beautiful hotel . The location in the jungle is so wonderful and the rooms are indescribable . We only stayed one night but will have lasting memories . It was so nice it was connected to the amazing La Paz Waterfalls. Highly recommend going to this hotel .

Arizona family trip

Pros: We loved everything about the Peace Lodge!!!!
Location: If you are coming in at night the road is dark and winding I would stay in town and come up during the day. You would want to miss the views
Not only is the Peace Lodge one of the most beautiful properties I have ever stayed, but the staff was the best. They were always extremely friendly and helpful. The hikes were amazing and the interaction with the animals made memories my family will never forget. We can't wait till our next stay!!!

Resort in a Nature Reserve

Pros: The staff: in particular Daniel Villanea Villalobos, Freddy (can't remember last name) at the front desk and Byron in the restaurant.
Cons: more restaurants to choose from. Get a bus to go to the local town to those restaurants. The only dinner option, while fabulous, is 5 star & pricey.
Location: Ziplining in the rainforest is close as well as coffee plantation tours.
Gentile staff. We held hands with monkeys; experienced being amidst a flurry of hummingbirds; watched baby jaguars get fed; walked in the rainforest and let fledgling butterflies free
