No air conditioning here. Our room faced west. The weather was hot in early August and sleeping was a problem.. If you don't like it hot, be sure you find a place with AC. Great location on one end of the harbor. Free parking is a plus, but space is not guaranteed. The biggest issue for us is that the staff demanded a scan of our credit card, and the paper copy is kept for 7 years supposedly in a locked cabinet in the basement. With rampant identity theft, we were very unhappy with this requirement. We were told it was an audit requirement. We don't recall ever being asked this at any hotel where we have stayed before.

This hotel is very close to many attractions in Victoria. It has a restaurant and parking. I enjoyed my time there.

When we first arrived they didn’t have our reservation and said it was Travelocity that messed up. The first night we had to sleep in a queen room until a king became available which is what we reserved. We moved into king room on the harbor side the next morning. Thank you to Lynn at the front desk for trying to accommodate us. The motel is really old and needs to be updated. The outside bar is below where our room was and was very loud at night the whole time we were there. The pool was refreshing but I spent most of my swimming time scooping dead flies out of the water. The whirlpool is very old and needs cleaning and replacing. I probably wouldn’t stay here again but because we were on a limited budget this time and chose price over amenities and environment.

This is an older hotel in a great location. It has not been updated. There is no air conditioning. We were there in mid July and it was hot. We had to keep our windows open and due to the location and an outdoor restaurant it was loud until late at night.

Good Value, Great Location

Pros: Great location at reasonable rate
Cons: Elevator clunky
Location: Easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and the BC museum. Across the street from the Black Ball ferry terminal. Friendly staff.

Disappointment at the Harbor

Pros: Outstanding staff. Front desk, housekeeping and restaurant staff were extremely polite, friendly and responsive.
Cons: best choice would be to tear down the current building to build a nicer more modern facility. At least try to install AC and bathroom vent fans.
Location: Great location, close to everything. Views are ONLY to the parking in the back of the hotel or the ferry terminal with vehicle parking in the front.
Thought we would try this Days Inn at the harbor of Victoria after staying at many others on our trips. What a let down, except for the location. Days Inn is older has had some renovations but compared to other hotels in the immediate area, it has a long way to go. No exhaust fans in the VERY SMALL bathroom, so after 1 person showers you either have to wait for the steam to go away or shower and dress in a "steam bath". No AC in the room. If on the side of the hotel that over looks the harbor you either need to close your window or listen to all the noisy customers in the open air restaurant and bar which got very loud in the evenings. Elevator has to be the smallest we have ever seen and prepare for a "jolt" each time it comes to a stop. We needed a cot for a family member and it took a good portion of the day to get it delivered to us. Parking for the most part is good behind the hotel. Restaurant food was plentiful and tasty but on the higher end of pricing. Staff from the restaurant to front desk and housekeeping service were all outstanding and very friendly. They were the best part of the stay, but not a reason to stay there again. Almost think they should tear down this Days Inn and build a taller and nicer facility for the potential scenery above the ferry terminal and vehicle parking as there is a beautiful harbor and city skyline just out of the current view.

Be warned - no A/C!

Pros: Location, free parking
Good location and free parking but our room overlooking the harbor was stiffling hot. We found an oscillating fan in the closet and set it up on the desk which managed to cool the room a bit. It was warm the 2 days we were in Victoria and the water breezes were not sufficient to cool the room. In all the information about the hotel, there was nothing to advise us of no air conditioning!
