## Neighborhood

Burgau is a quiet fishing village, situated between Lagos and Sagres. Sheltered from the wind by the cliffs on a small cove is the lovely Praia do Burgau. It is an excellent base for a relaxing beach holidays or exploring the beautiful Western Algarve. It has some amazing restaurants and bars facing the sea, and there are several other beautiful beaches in the area to explore. If your idea of the perfect holiday is to relax in the sun and swim in the sea, this village will provide everything your heart desire.

Three golf courses are within 15 minutes drive, as are many of the Algarve's best surfing beaches. Only 8 kilometres from the historic town of Lagos with its lively nightlife, bustling yacht marina and a huge variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. Other things to do in the area include surfing, fishing, diving, golf, tennis and hiking.

## Transit

Although public transport is available in the area, it is limited. If you really want to explore the area, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier. Free street parking is available all throughout and around town.

Sweetest little apartment in the sweetest little town

This was a lovely place to stay in an amazing location just a 2 minute walk form the beach with a view of the sunset over the beach from the balcony. It had everything we needed and the bed was super comfy! This was the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking, exploring or sitting on the beach. Thank you!!

Great Location, Simple Space

View and location was great for a 4 day surf focussed vacation in the Algarve. Bed and pillows was not exactly plush but all in all a really nice, convenient place to stay and use as a home base. FYI, we had a rental car and found it easiest to park a block or two away, where the streets and parking spaces were a bit more accommodating.

Nice property. 2min walk to the beach/sea. Nice morning swims. Lovely little village. All Restaurants/Cafes/ Bars 1-5 min walk away. Best fresh fish/ seafood nearby. All the lovely Algarve spots max. 1 hour drive away.

July stay

The listing was definitely as described! Our only difficulty was initially checking in— we had trouble trying to figure out how to open the initial green gate, and realized we had to put our hands through the gate to press a button to open the gate from the inside. Aside from that, we were already warned about some construction next to the listing but it really didn’t interrupt our stay! (Just a little dusty). Definitely a great location right next to the beach, and no difficulty in finding parking. Great places to eat that we could walk to. The apartment was clean overall with everything listed in the packet we received in an email beforehand, just remember to buy soap for the shower!

Die Lage ist unschlagbar, aber

Wir hatten leider schnell Schimmelbildung an der Decke im Schlafzimmer. Die Laterne an der Hauswand gegenüber war so hell. Das hat schon sehr gestört. Und auf dem kleinen Balkon sitzt man so was von auf dem Präsentierteller, dass man es nicht genießen kann. Schade. Jedoch die Lage ist fantastisch. Meerblick. Brandung. Wow.

Im Appartment selbst war alles bis auf eine lockere Steckdose ok und wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Die Sicht auf das Meer war allerdings beeinträchtigt, vor allem durch eine grotesk chaotische Baustelle, von der nichts im Inserat stand. Einerseits waren wir amüsiert, weil wir so etwas noch nie gesehen hatten, andererseits war man auf dem kleinen Balkon, der mehr in einen Innenhof schaute, doch ziemlich beeinträchtigt. Gott sei Dank wurde fast die ganze Zeit nicht gearbeitet, sonst wäre es sehr problematisch geworden.
