Extraordinary service and first class accommodations. This convent has been upgraded in 2024 into one the best places to stay in all of Portugal. We decided to stay in Vila do Conde (along the coast) instead of inland in Braga. It was a great decision as Lince Santa Clara was incredibly beautiful and just a short drive to Braga.

The hotel is incredible, from the beautifully restored monastery and beautiful decoration to the breakfast, everything is simply done to perfection. A very warm welcome from the moment you arrive. The hotel is beautiful, spacious and has a lovely scent. The bedrooms are very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable! Breakfast is highly recommended with a range of food to suit all your requirements. Amazing cocktails in the evening with two different restaurants! Staff were friendly, always available to offer support and couldn’t do more for you. The spa area is serene with a heated inside pool. If you follow the aqueduct downhill you get to the metro which is easy to navigate if you want to get onto Porto. A great place to stay .

The Lince Santa Clara is a jewel of a hotel, the historical building has been beautifully renovated. The furnishings and the rooms are stylish and comfortable.
