Villa Medea is an elegant and welcoming four-story villa set into the cliff, sheer above the sea. It sleeps 24 people. From Villa Medea you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi. Villa Medea is 250 square meters (2690 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, two wide private terraces with a view of the sea, a private garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be approximately 500 meters (550 yards) from Amalfi, where you will find shops, public transportation, the beach and the tourist port. You will find the closest restaurant at 200 meters (660 feet) and the closest beach at roughly 500 meters (550 yards). You will reach Villa Medea going up a 200-meters (660-feet) public walkway that cuts through a small country road and includes approximately 200 stairway steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Villa Medea. If you do have one, you will be able to park it nearby, free of charge in a private parking lot. The parking space is suitable for at most one car.

Villa Medea is an ancient building formerly a convent of Franciscan friars of Atrani, which a part now houses a famous hotel on the Amalfi Coast.


So, in order to reach the house you will pass across the ancient cloister, which now belongs to the hotel, and from there go on for a pedestrian path that winds through the traditional coastal homes and includes approx. 200 steps.


As guests of Villa Medea you will be able to use the pool and the beach of this  nearby hotel. In order to reach the pool, you will need to go down to the road that leads to the villa (approximately 200 stairway steps), then cross the road and walk for 20 meters/yards to the front gate.


Once inside, to reach the shared pool you will follow a short walkway and walk down about 70 stairway steps. From the pool area you can walk to the beach along another short walkway that includes another 30 stairway steps.
Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is 4 meters (13 feet) large by 6 meters (20 feet) long, 1.5 meters (5 feet) deep. The area is equipped with a table, chairs, sun umbrellas, deck chairs and sun loungers. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a fascinating view of the sea and of the coastline. The pool is open from the beginning of May until mid-October.
Entrance LevelTerrace 1
The first terrace is 350 square meters (3770 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by an elegant wood roof. It is equipped with two wickerwork sofas, armchairs and masonry benches, as well as with tables, chairs and sun loungers. Here you will also find a wood-fired pizza oven. From the terrace you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and of Atrani.
Living Room
The living room is paved with tiles with handmade decoration, in the characteristic style of the Amalfi Coast. The ceiling is vaulted and frescoed. The furnishings are elegant and refined, and include some antique pieces. The furnishings include sofas, armchairs and a desk. The dining table can accommodate four guests. In this room you will find a large flat-screen satellite television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter the first terrace with a view of the sea and of the beach of Atrani through a double-glazed French door. The room has four double-glazed Juliet balconies with a view of the sea and of the coastline. It is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Dining Room
The furnishings of the dining room are warm and elegant, and include some antique pieces. The dining table can accommodate six guests. From the dining room you will be able to enter the small balcony with a view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi through a double-glazed French door. The room has a double-glazed large panoramic arched window with a view of the sea and of the terrace, and is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Kitchen
You will be able to enter the kitchen from the dining room. It is equipped with a six-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, an Italian-style coffee-maker and other small appliances. Here you will also find a washing machine. From the kitchen a French door will take you to the first terrace with a view of the sea. The room has a window with a view of the sea and of the coastline.
Half bath
The half-bath is equipped with a washbasin and a toilet. You will be able to enter it from the living room.
