It was a wonderful stay at Coastal. The room layout was perfect for our family and friend for privacy. Nice ocean view from the hotel. Free parking with garage on the same level as the floor. Very convenient. Will stay there again. 100% recommended.

We really loved the hotel and had fun, but there was a huge project in progress on the beach directly in front of the hotel. There were about 15 or so large heavy machines, excavators, bull dozers, and a couple large ships that were running huge pipes down the beach and out into the ocean. They worked 24/7 for the entire week that we stayed. At night, they had huge work lights that lit up the area like it was daytime, and the machinery could be heard running constantly. I know the hotel really had no control over this happening, but it would have been nice to get some kind of notice prior to arrival. I was so looking forward to sitting out on that balcony at night and watching the ocean, and then I was so disappointed when we arrived and were informed on check-in.

We had the BEST time here. Every staff member we spoke with was friendly, the property was very clean and the amenities were fantastic. The 24/7 water and coffee in the lobby came in clutch. We refilled the kids bottles every day there. Our housekeeper for the week - I believe her name started with an A, I cannot remember - was SO SO sweet. What a fantastic job they do keeping everything clean. Our complaints were very minor- the A/C kept one room much colder than the other so while our kids were chilly, we were sweating. Also the tub stopper did not hold water in the tub and we really wished the slider had a screen door too so we could have the door open and sit inside. But honestly everything else far outshined any of that. We had fresh towels daily and there was a spigot outside to wash our feet off after the beach. We also loved that you needed a key card to enter through the back, it made us feel safe. The man who checked us in was friendly. The location was A+. The breakfast and the staff taking care of that was A+. Our housekeeper was A+++ and deserves a huge raise for being so kind and thorough. We truly enjoyed staying here and had a fantastic time and may very well return with our kids yearly.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel everyone was very nice . Breakfast enjoyable. Very clean. Beds are alittle firm but everything else was excellent. You have to have your door card to enter any of there exits , very safe. We were down here at this location when a free concert was there so a lot of people and road closures, wish we would have been informed of this before being stuck in traffic.

Relaxing and Excellent Value

We highly enjoyed our stay. Staff was attentive and friendly. The included breakfast buffet was generous and well stocked. A parking garage spot was also included in the price making this most likely the best value on the actual beach. I really enjoyed waking up to the sunrise overlooking the water and having my first coffee on the balcony listening to the waves.

My family and I enjoyed the stay. The location was convenient. The hotel was clean. The entire breakfast staff were awesome. I was impressed with the hot water and pressure in the room. We had an oceanfront view that was great. The refrigerator actually kept our drinks (soda, juice and water) cold. I would stay here again and I recommend this property.

Enjoyable family stay

Everyone was so nice. The hotel and pool and hot tub were so nice and maintained. My family and I enjoyed the breakfast every morning, plenty of hot options one of the best breakfasts you can get in a hotel stay. The room was very clean and bathroom was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in VA Beach. The location was great with a lot of eateries and an ocean view.
