Just a short stroll down the serene, tree-lined street lies Haycraft Park, offering 6 miles of pristine sand and surf along Sugar Beach. The tropical waters are ideal for swimming, snorkeling, surfing, and windsurfing. Take sunrise or sunset stroll along the shore and create unforgettable memories.

Start your day sipping coffee or tea from your 3rd floor ocean view lanai while enjoying the breathtaking ocean and courtyard views. During whale season (December-March) marvel at the playful whales in the bay or the boats gliding through the harbor.

Kanai A Nalu is a peaceful oceanfront resort, situated along the stunning Ma'alaea Bay, away from any road noise. Conveniently located in the central part of the island, between South and West Maui, Ma'alaea provides easy access to all the wonders of Maui. Less than a mile away from our condo, you'll find Ma'alaea Harbor, boasting a variety of restaurants and shops. Additionally, the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium and Maui Golf & Action Park (putt-putt golf, rock climbing, trampolines and bumper boats) are less than one mile up the road. Both activities ensure endless family fun.

For the adventurous surfers, "Freight Trains," a renowned wave in the harbor, can offer world-class conditions during big south swells. Windsurfing enthusiasts will find their haven toward the east of Ma'alaea, where both trade and Kona winds provide optimal experiences.

Very comfortable

Our stay was wonderful. The condo was awesome, and everything was the way we wanted. Knowing that this would be the last visit to Hawaii for my mother, I wanted it to be special. The condo was comfortable and the view from the lanai was just as the pictures showed. I was surprised the bathrooms had little fans in them but they were perfect. The only thing I couldn’t find was a cutting board, but we didn’t mind that at all, because everything you could think of is there. The management was awesome, I had to call to find the a/c and later we found a gift bag with coffee, chocolates and more. This condo by far has been the best condo we’ve ever stayed at. Mahalo everyone who helped me make this the greatest vacation to the island.

Wonderful and Beautiful Condo on the Beach

We just got back and I must say, this was the best VRBO property I booked over many years of renting condo's/houses. The ocean view and basically private beach and pool were awesome. It was the most accomadating condo. Very Clean, and most supplies you would think you need to grab were there - toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags hand soap, bar soap, dishwasher soap, extra linens, hairdryer and some items others may have left behind, but were trustworthy and usable (aloe gel). The beds were fine, the master was a bit firm but its hard to rate these as I love a soft plush bed and rarely discover one on my travels. The sheets and bedding were very clean and good quality with fluffy bath towels too! It could use a few extra pillows. There were beach towels, beach chairs and boogie boards and we left 2 rafts floating in the ocean. I was impressed at the maintenance crew and how well they cleaned the grounds and pool area every morning/day. Kathy and the rest of her crew at the rental agency were super nice. The TV in master bedroom broke and she had it repaired in 1 day. They were very pleasant and responsive and let you know exactly when they would be there. You can tell the owner put some good money into her condo with many upgrades. There is a Target, Walmart and Grocery store about 5 miles away, actually next to the airport, so that was a big plus. I like the condo location, very private with only a few condos bordering the area. The only downfall is not a lot of restaurants or deli's in Maalaea. We stocked up at grocery store then took trips at night Kaanapali and Kihei and other places. They do have a nice grill area too if you in the mood to cook dinner! Also a great ice cream store over by the marina. I hope to come back again soon. Such a beautiful place.

Loved it

Loved the property, the pool was clean, the elevators worked, the beach has disappeared over the last year, so there is no beach access from the condo. The parking spaces are super small, and the condo isn’t really near anything, so it was a lot of driving. 315 isn’t close to the elevator so if you have anyone with a disability, or trouble walking then book a first floor condo. We rented a bunch of disability aids from Maui Vacation rentals, like a transport chair and shower chairs so that helped a lot.

Love this place!

The owners thought of everything when stocking this rental. It was great to have beach chairs, umbrellas, bags, ice packs - everything! The location is very convenient to all sides of the island. It’s updated and very clean. We appreciated the welcome snacks too! We only turned in the air conditioner once to try it out. Otherwise the cross wind was perfect to cool us down and the bedroom fans worked well. I highly recommend this unit!

Quiet central maui

I have stayed in kihei, Lahaina and Kaanapali and now here. If you want to save a little $, be away from the crowds but still wanna hear the ocean at night, this is your place. No hot tub but the pool is heated! Very clean, updated and well maintained.

Perfect for our young family

First off, the condo was perfect for our family (2 adults + 6 and 3 year old boys). Great views, quick access to Kihei and Kahului, and a nice trade-off with quieter surroundings vs. more crowded areas. This unit was furnished very well and had the fun stuff for our beach time (boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkel gear and toys). Washer and dryer in unit, along with A/C to cool us down in the evenings was a huge perk! While we loved this trip and would definitely recommend this unit to those staying in Maalaea, word of caution on the winds. We had known it was very windy, but rolled the dice. Again, part of our trade-off to get nicer amenities for the price point. Not sure we’d do it again, as many afternoons at the pool were chilly from the wind gusts. Also, some reviews of the Maalaea area are critical of beachfront. While the immediate beachfront to Kana’i A Nalu was not in play (surf was particularly high due to Hurricane Erick) there is a great access to Sugar Beach ~50 yards to the east, easily accessible from the condo. We also made several trips to Sugar Beach down by the ABC Store and Ululani’s Shave Ice, which is 8 minutes from the condo. Point being, beach options were just fine. We appreciated calling this condo home for 9 nights and made some awesome memories during our stay. Mahalo!

Very accurate description

This condo offered a beautiful view of the Ocean. We just walked out on a very nice beach and a very nice pool. The beds were comfortable and the decor was very nice. Nice kitchen and eating area. Even offered snorkeling gear and many other amenities to make our stay enjoyable. The hot water needed to be hotter and ran out quite quickly. Parking spaces are quite narrow and difficult to get in and out of.

Seven Days on Maui

Great place to stay. Clean, comfortable, right on small beach that continues for three miles. Many amenities including masks, fins, snorkeled, boogie boards, cooler, ice pack, beach umbrella, and pool noodles. Note that you can not see sunsets from this beach. Comfortable stay for my family

We had an amazing 5 days in this unit. It had everything we needed, including binoculars :) Had tea facing the ocean every morning My kids enjoyed the pool. Best thing - ocean was just downstairs. My wife woke up 30 mins ahead of us all to go for morning walk on beach :) Only minor complaint - there were tiny roaches that got into our stuff, and including shoes and clothes.

Nice quiet bay! Condo was clean.

We enjoyed the morning walks along the beach. Very convenient location. The screen door kept on getting stuck and the TV volume was cutting in and out. Very windy!!! Overall stay was very good!

Amazing

This condo exceeded our expectations. It had everything we needed to enjoy our week in Maui. It is centrally located which made it even better! being able to hear the waves all night and watch the sun rise and set was absolutely amazing.

Quiet and beautiful

The condo is very lovely. Prep’d with starter consumables as well as clean and comfortable. Property has fabulous grills, pool and pool chairs, quiet and easy beach access.

Perfect for Intergenerational Vacations

Location, location, location! Absolutely lovely spot on Maui's south shore, quiet and secluded but with quick access to Kahului (airport location) and Kihei with many stores and amenities. The condo is exactly as pictured; photos try to make it seem a bit larger than IRL, but it's plenty roomy, and the 2-bedroom, 2-bath layout of Kanai A Nalu's condos is perfect for family groups or two couples. The charming small beach just below the condo complex is a plus, and miles of beach walks are easily accessible. Pool and grounds are very nice. Condo is attractive, comfortable, sparkling clean, with a great property management group. Don't miss the nearby Maui Ocean Center. And don't miss whale-watching direct from the lanai (balcony). Such a treat.
