How close is Cozy A-frame with loft, deck and easy ski access to the airport?
This vacation home is 28.2 mi (41-min drive) away from the Montpelier, VT (MPV-Edward F. Knapp State) airport, the closest popular airport to the property.
The property location was amazing and even though there was a downstairs, you would never know it.
Not being able to communicate directly to the own of the property was a bit problematic. The heat did not work and it wasnât until the next day that the issue was resolved. The person who did respond was amazing and able to go ahead and fix the issue rather quickly.
I also thought it was a bit strange so we were not allowed to go ahead and enter until 4 oâclock and when we asked if we could go ahead and come in one hour early, we had to wait via text message for a response and never received one. Also thought it was a bit strange that we had to pay $25 to check out late. The original check out time was 10 AM which is a little aggressive if you are on vacation with your students at the nearby university.
They were also mouse droppings in the kitchen. There was also a mouse be in one of the bedrooms. Not some thing that you want to see. The cleaning people should probably just pass a vacuum through all the cabinets and in the drawers of the kitchen. I lived in the country so I understand that having little mice is sometimes some thing that comes with the territory, but you do need to keep your rental clean.
This place is in a great location, literally a minute from Mt. Ellen. Thatâs about the only good thing about it. In need of major updates, black mold remediation, and about 4 dehumidifiers because the place stinks. The water turned the sinks toilets and showers brown and is metallic and undrinkable. There were buckets of cat litter left in the living room. If you donât care about any of that, then this place is for you
The property had plenty of space for our group. I would suggest some steps be put in and some more care be spent on snow removal but we had fun sliding downhill to the entrance.
The property is woodsy, very relaxing and calming. The cabin is cleaned well, beds are comfy and can get a nice sleep all night. I like the big windows where you can see out into the trees. The kitchen is a working kitchen so you can bring groceries to cook which is a nice perk. The only call out I have is that the water tastes and smells metallic, maybe the owners need to redo the pipes or add in a filter system to make sure the water is safe to use. Other than that, it's a cozy cabin for people to relax in and enjoy the trees.
You have to drive to either Sugarbush or Mad River Glen ski areas but they are super close. The place had a great feel and was spacious. Note: to get to the second floor (which is the first floor of the unit), and then up to the second floor bedroom and open area, you have to walk up a narrow spiral staircase so keep it in mind if you're carrying big pieces of luggage. Overall, the place was great.
