Escape to the Oregon Coast at this dog-friendly, oceanfront home. This rental boasts spectacular views from both bedrooms, the kitchen, and living areas. This home is located in a quiet setting just south of Waldport near Wakonda Beach. Here you will find plenty of room for your entire group, a warming wood-burning fireplace, and a spacious back deck where you can watch the waves hit the beach or enjoy unforgettable sunsets.

Big Stump Beach is just to the south of this home, where you can explore the mysterious tree stump that sits on the beach at low tide. Waldport is 2.2 miles to the north, where you will find several dining options, necessities, and more. And stop at the Alsea Bay Historic Interpretive Center to learn more about the wonders of the area.

Beautiful ocean view

Home overlooks the beach. Quiet and somewhat secluded. Nice deck. Home was very nice. Both bedrooms and main bath were on the 2nd floor (wonderful view of the beach to wake up to). I would definitely stay here again.

Can we move here?

This house was exactly what we needed! The view is amazing. The privacy is fantastic
we had the beach to ourselves at almost all times. Playing scrabble, watching the sunset, with a glass of local wine from Ray’s and loaded cheesy bread from Pacific Sourdough was the perfect vacation! To those that reviewed about beach proximity
it’s less than 20 ft away and very easy. We will be back!

It's a very nice and comfortable house with a wonderful view that would be even better if a big, blocking shrub were pruned. Good access to a fabulous beach. Important items broken on our arrival were not fixed during our month-long stay.

Beware of Vacasa

We regret to inform you that we cannot review this property. However, our experience with Vacasa warrants a rating of 0 out of 10. Booking with Vacasa comes with a cautionary note. Despite our anticipation for a three-night anniversary stay on the Oregon coast in our van, we encountered an unexpected setback due to the property's parking situation. The only available parking was in a garage suitable only for standard-sized cars, which was not clearly disclosed in the initial VRBO listing. There was no mention that the garage was the only option and that the house lacked a driveway. Additionally, it was not stated that parking in front of the house or nearby on the street was prohibited. Vacasa’s VRBO listing stated: "Onsite parking options include a garage Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles" However, upon receiving Vacasa's pre-trip email with a link to their “trip manager”, which typically includes essential information like door codes and WiFi details, we discovered conflicting parking information: "Parking notes: Parking is allowed in the garage only. Parking is not allowed on the street." This discrepancy prompted us to contact Vacasa immediately for clarification or a refund. Unfortunately, Vacasa informed us that no resolution could be offered, leaving us unable to proceed with our anniversary plans and out of pocket by $1400. The lack of clarity in the initial listing and the disparity in post-booking information raise serious concerns about

Wonderful!

Comfortable home with everything we needed. Kitchen was well-stocked and beds were comfortable. Everything was clean and location was conveniently located for the activities we had planned. I wish it was pet friendly as we now have a dog and we would have loved to return.

A million dollar view

Before we had finished unloading the car, we saw a gray whale feeding just beyond the surf line from the bedroom window. The house is comfortable, quiet, and everything worked, which often isn't the case with beach front properties due to the salt and damp. The cool evenings and the roar of the surf made me sleep like a darted hippo. The only drawback is that the deck is not gated, so your four-legged friends can wander off if not watched closely. Beach access is 2 doors down, wide, empty, sandy beach, perfect for kids, dogs, and romantic strolls.

The place was cleaned well and had most of what you would need. There were shelves of VHS videos with no VCR to play them and a Blue Ray player but no Blue Ray discs. The carpet was stained and the place was fairly dated. The internet access and phone reception were virtually non existent, which was a bummer. The view was great and the street was very quiet and peaceful. The beach access had a rail which was great for my elderly dad.

Property was as shown. Pet friendly so the appearance of the carpet good could have been worse. Deck and views were great. I would suggest cutting the hedge in front of the dining room down to deck leave so you can sit and enjoy the view, no view of the ocean when sitting. Great location

This would be a great place to stay in a storm. Great view of the sky and water, well set up kitchen to whip some stormy weather treats, comfortable heating system. Also a very short walk to the long sandy beach. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

Had a great time playing a game to pick out the best VHS tape to watch. Lots of great old movies to choose from! Then we couldn’t find a VCR to play it on! Found the movie on Netflix instead. Hope to return again!

Week in April

Comfortable house with all we needed for a lovely week. We were fortunate to have a sunny time with lots of beach walks. Some problem with tv was never resolved until the last day but we weren’t there to watch tv. The path beach access was a little troublesome for my 84 yr. old self but the other family members did fine.

Couldn't have been better!

Three adult family members went on this trip. The house is on a private drive, and while you can hear the traffic while outside, you can't hear anything inside. The view is to die for, the beach access is a couple houses away, and the beach is to die for!!! Quiet, serene, stunning surroundings and clean comfortable home with everything you need but nothing extra.

Great location.

Great ocean views and easy access to a nice beach. The wifi internet service was good. The TV equipment is dated. There was a library VHS tapes, but there was a tape stuck in the vhs player and it didn't work. There is a dvd player, but we didn't bring any dvds. There are no options for streaming services. There is supposed to be satellite tv, but we couldn't get that to work either. We hooked our own device up and streamed from there.

Nice location!

This was great located on a beautiful flat beach! The master bed was pretty uncomfortable, way too soft. We had problem with no hot water and it was resolved very quickly, they were very responsive! I would stay here again.
