This property is situated in Warwick, in a quiet safe residential neighborhood. The apartment is part of a large house with a separate entrance and courtyard. Within the apartment, there is a separate bedroom with a queen-size bed, two ample closets, heating, and air conditioning, 42' flat-screen TV with fire stick for streaming, and free Wi-fi. Guest access: Bus stops, fast ferries, and local supermarkets are but a 5-7 minute walk away (this is super great if you do not intend to rent a moped). Close to home, you will have the pleasure of exploring Horseshoe Bay and Warwick Long Bay ( 10 min. moped ride, or 20 min. local bus), Elbow Beach is walking distance (40 minutes if you are in good shapes. 50 min for a leisure walk ). Cook your dinner on the charcoal BBQ while sipping wine and listen to the tree frogs serenade the night away. Don't feel like cooking there are many fine dining restaurants close to home: Fourways Inn is just down the street (Jacket for the gents please). The Blu Bar and Grill served up excellent food and has gorgeous views. A five minutes moped ride from the apartment. Dine at Aurora at Newstead and enjoy the stunning view of Hamilton. Also, a five minutes ride from the apartment. There are also nice roadside cafes for breakfast or lunch which are very easy on the pocket. Fourstar Pizzas and Grill, Island cuisine to name a few. The Railway trail is but a 10 minutes walk from the apartment. There you can jog, walk, bike at your leisure and enjoy the peaceful scenery. Golf courses: There are three golf courses nearby for you to play: The Belmont Golf Course, the Fairmont Princess Golf Club, and the Port Royal Golf Course are all within 10 minutes of the property and each offers its own unique challenge. Accessing the beaches and restaurants is easy either by bus or by moped. The apartment has easy access to the to ferry which has a direct route to the charming village of Somerset where shops and cafes make lingering for a while a very pleasant diversion. The remarkable renovated installation at the Naval Dockyard property (a British Navy base built in the early 1820âs) has created a plaza and shopping concourse as well as a series of excellent museums, pubs, artists workshops, book stores, and the like as well as the hugely popular DOLPHIN QUEST operation. These shops and museum operations are all neatly contained in spectacularly restored historic buildings dotted throughout a park setting on the furthest west end of the island. Fast ferries and buses depart and arrive from the Dockyard facility all day long. The views from The Commissionerâs House are jaw-dropping as you can see from one end of the island all the way to the other, with ocean liners sedately negotiating the Two Rock Passage, the sole opening in the reefs large enough to provide safe access to Kings Wharf in Somerset or Hamilton Harbour. A visit to Bermuda without seeing Dockyard would not be complete. Daniels Head Beach Park and Somerset Long Bay are quiet beaches you will want to well as The Railway Trail, a meandering paved pathway through the countryside throughout the island you can explore on foot or by moped. The Trail is the land right of way owned by the government for the long-defunct railway system. No cars or trucks are allowed upon it, so take your walk through beautiful park-like settings overlooking the water and the interesting homes and gardens you would not otherwise notice. The City of Hamilton also has lovely places to dine and shop, and in the summer months through to October, Harbour Nights on Front Street on Wednesday evenings is a sparkling outdoor market event. With live music, delicious food, and unusual locally made items to buy, the street is shut to vehicular traffic and the better shops remain open. Everyone congregates happily til 10 pm. and then drifts off to window-shop or investigate the nightclubs, bars, and cafes. The city is easily reached by bus, ferry or moped, with taxis available to whisk you away home at the end of the evening.
Interaction with Guests: We give guests the utmost privacy. We are on hand or a phone call away when needed.
The neighborhood: Centrally located in a private and safe neighborhood with easy access to two of Bermuda major roadways, Harbor and Middle road. Short five minutes walk to bus stops, fast ferry, and Lindo's supermarket. Uncomfortable on a moped this location is perfect! With a moped, you're perfectly positioned to explore beautiful Bermuda as Warwick is located in the middle of the island.
Getting around: GETTING THERE: At the airport, there are plenty of taxis, the drivers are the unofficial ambassador of Bermuda so enjoy the 15-20 minutes scenic ride to the apartment. The ride will cost approximately $37 prior to tipping. Pre-arranged taxi can be made on your behalf, please make a request. Cost will be a flat $50 to the taxi driver.
GETTING AROUND: There is a bus stop and fast ferry at the end of the road less than a 5 minutes walk. Tickets or passes can be purchased at Post Office or at the terminal. Adult fare is $3.50 per ticket, a weekly pass is $56 and a monthly pass is $54. The bus lines run at 15-minute intervals. The operating schedule is available at the apartment.
For the adventurous and experienced I would recommend Oleander cycles ( as your source for scooters. It is a short 5 minutes drive from the apartment and Oleander does provide pickup and drop off. I can also get you there if it is more convenient. Other things to note: We have one very friendly Cocker spaniel, weighing 18 lbs. She does not have access to the rental apartment side. If ok with guests she will come and say hello but please do not feed her anything.
House Rules: No Smoking allowed inside or outside the house. Please turn off the air conditioning unit and lights when you go out for the day. Please conserve water - we only have what we catch on our roofs when it rains. Be courteous and considerate to other guests. No parties or get together are allowed. Relax and enjoy Bermuda.
Disappointing not as advertised,No washer dryer available told we could use one in the main house at a cost of 40!!Bed linen âold and tiredâTowels supplied oldBed very uncomfortable and sloped to the middleAdvertised a 42â Tv on wall a very small one supplied that didnât workRusty microwave - didnât use it Old saucepans and frying pans that we would of thrown outOutdoor area could of been nice but full of fallen leaves and petals needed sweeping All of these things need attention to bring the accomodation up to the standard that is shown on the advert in Stayz
Clean, accommodating, close to Ferry although the ferry did not run Saturday or Sunday. Walkable to ferry and grocery though. Had a mini Max to drive and there was charge capability at unit which was super wonderful! Tried using Ride Bermuda for taxi but poor results. Advised to use Hitch app. Comes readily! Otherwise all was wonderful. Would recommend this home again.
The location of the apartment is good, and the yard in the pictures looks lovely â but be aware, it only looks like that if you clean it yourself. We had to buy our own paper towels and cleaning supplies just to make the outdoor space usable, which was very frustrating. There were three of us staying, but only two coffee cups and two glasses were provided. There were no basics at all â no paper towels, no tea, coffee, salt, or even sugar for the first morning. We travel often and have never encountered a rental so underprepared for guests. The apartment itself is small, which we expected, but the lack of basic amenities and the need to clean just to use the yard was really disappointing. Unfortunately, we wouldnât stay here again.
Great location, nice quiet residential area, close to Hamilton, not far from beautiful beaches. Host was very helpful with calling taxis as welll as late check out. Great value for money.
The location was great-short walk to the bus and grocery store. Access to the Railway Trail was also close by. We rented a scooter and it was a short ride to the beach. Neighborhood was quiet.
We canât say enough about the fabulous time we had in Bermuda, and especially how much our hosts made it possible. The accommodations were exactly as advertised and perfect for a couple. Lana was amazing! Extremely responsive and helpful with great advice about where to go and what to see. The long weekend stay flew by way too quickly. We loved every second. Would we stay here again? Weâre already booked for a week next year and I wouldnât dream about staying anywhere else!
The property is a building which has two apartments as half basements and additional apartments on the ground floor and upstairs.
Luckily we asked and got the place on the ground floor which was large and very nice. We never saw what the basement apartments look like.
Bermuda is an expensive place so be aware that although apartments in Bermuda cost more than other places, their prices are just normal for the place.
The host Lana, was nice to us.
While we were there, we saw part of the ceiling of the patio had fallen on the floor the day before our arrival, but it didnât hit anyone. Workers arrived three days later and installed a new ceiling. This shows how responsive Lana is.
All in all we enjoyed our stay in the ground floor apartment.
This little one bedroom apartment was perfect for our 6 day stay. Easy to still down to ferrybstop to Hamilton-from there ferries to Dockyards. Also short walk to grocery store or bus stop to get anywhere on the island. We did breakfast in, packed lunch and planned dinner most nights out. Lana was so responsive to our questions and requests-she dropped by personally to chat and make sure we were comfortable. We did it all-Church Bay, Horseshoe Bay and Turtke Bay beaches, a day in St George, another in the Dockyards, several trips to Hamilton. Bermuda is welcoming and so was Lana. Weâll be back!
We were in Bermuda for the ITU Bermuda Triathlon so decided to make it a holiday so had cycling and scuba diving kit with us. With all the kit we realised that a hotel wasn't going to work so we spent two weeks in a great apartment in Warwick which turned out to be the perfect location for getting into Hamilton on the ferry or a 10 minute bike ride. It was also only 20 minute bike ride or 40 minute run along the railway trail to Dive Bermuda based at The Fairmont Hotel, Southampton. We had a local supermarket within 10 minutes walk and made the most of using the BBQ each evening. It was wonderful to meet Lana who owns the apartment and be able to ask questions and get advice about washing, buses, taxis etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend going. Have a fabulous time!
We enjoyed our stay. Lana was very nice and helpful. Just down the hill to the ferry dock, so convenient. Our apartment was the only one not yet renovated and after seeing the rest of her newly done apartments we wish we had stayed in one of them, they were beautiful.
The apartment was perfect for us. We cooked breakfast in our private kitchen and headed down the lane to the ferry, or up the lane to the bus every day. From there we could get to any place in Bermuda. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed (including beach towels). It is on a quiet street in a residential neighborhood. In addition to the ferry and the bus, it is within walking distance to the rail trail. Lana was a great host. She was there if we needed anything, but was not intrusive. We will stay here again!
Very cozy one bedroom apartment centrally located within the island. Would recommend. And rent the cycles! Only negative is there is no ocean view. But there's plenty of that around the island!
