The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The lady who checked me in and was also on duty when I checked out was very helpful. If I am not wrong her name was Ms. Fernanole With me was my elderly mother in a wheelchair and thios lady not only pushed me to enroll in IHG membership but got me a room close to the elevator to help my aunt's mobilization. One day we had some guests and the staff provided us couple of chairs to help. The beds were quite comfortable and the bathroom was loaded and clean. I thought the hotel cleaning would be daily cleaning but they said cleaning would only happen on checkout or when we requested. We didn't have a meal at the hotel but there was a 711 in walking distance as well as a gas station. I would highly recommend this lady Ms. Fernanole and her colleague Karim who helped make our stay comfortable

Yes, it was. The staff was very helpful and courteous. During my 3 day stay, my key card needed to be reprogrammed on 2 different days. When it had to be reprogrammed, the reprogramming of the 2 cards needed to be done twice before the key cards worked again. Although breakfast was offered, a guest needed to pay for breakfast, separate from the hotel bill. I realize the website indicated breakfast was to be paid separate and I knew it in advance, but having breakfast included with the hotel would be an additional amenity. I realize the cost of the hotel would be more. Additionally, parking was also an additional cost and not included with the hotel cost. I realize I knew it in advance, but having it included with the hotel may attract more customers;although the hotel cost would be more.

Late check in. Wrong key card. Go back down, get a new card. Light doors, knocks from nearby rooms are loud. Housekeepers wakes you up 4 hours before checkout even with DND sign. Nothing about this hotel was $300 a night.

There was an extension cord running from opposite wall to the surge protector for the tv! TV was all but broke as the dark colors were bright red. In all of my travels this was the worse IHG ever. Will not recommend to anyone! Staff for the most was great! Cleaning came to out door at our door at 7 AM! WHO DOES THIS, since check iut is at NOON!

My stay at the Holiday Inn Arlington at Ballston by IHG has been a never-ending bad hotel experience. The room was outdated, with peeling wallpaper and a television that only worked when tilted a certain way. Even worse, the shower flooded the bathroom floor every single time I showered, even when I held the curtain closed with my hand the whole time. The experience hit an all-time low point though when I checked out. I asked for a receipt after they charged my card. The receipt total was well over the cost I had booked the hotel stay for months before! The front desk person agreed it was odd, after I showed my email booking with the price I had booked and then compared it to the receipt, but he could not help me. Later that day, I called the manager and spoke with him, at length. He would not listen to me, and he would not take accountability for the mistake. He kept telling me I needed to contact the third-party vendor I booked the hotel through. I called and spoke with a representative.She then put me on hold to speak directly with the hotel. She also had an unhelpful conversation and said the hotel tried to charge me for a hidden parking rate. That I did not agree to pay! When I spoke to the hotel later, they claimed not to charge me for parking. Yet the room rate was still well over what I booked months before. After many conversations back and forth, I have given up on a solution. The only reason I am giving this hotel one star - the site doesn't have a zero star option

Room was fine but not sparkling, ADA shower got water across the entire bathroom floor. Our TV was barely working and I had to call the front desk several times; the issue remained unresolved. The mini fridge was broken and when I called asking someone to fix it in the morning, so when I returned in the evening I could add more food, no one had come. I had to wait while someone was sent, and had to toss all the food that had been there for multiple days that had not kept, it was such a waste of food I planned to eat, and money. Overall disappointed in the amenities, service, and the staff responses.

Great Neighbourhood close to metro station, lots of shops, supermarket, dining options, and juat a few stops to downtown DC and on the silver line to the airport. Hotel has a gym, didn’t use breakfast as lots of cafes nearby.

We spent two nights at this hotel. The property is conveniently located and there’s easy parking at the back of the property. The staff is very nice and polite. The property is old and hasn’t been renovated for a while. Our two rooms both had alarm triggered off randomly during day and night and we contacted the front desk multiple times and was told someone wiould come over to fix but they never came. we couldn’t sleep very well. The staff is very polite when we checked out and complained about it and they waived our parking fee. We appreciate that but we hope they had addressed that issue because You can’t sleep with alarm coming on and off randomly. so that wasn’t a very pleasant experience.

Terrible old hotel.

This Holiday Inn hotel was in terrible condition. There were stains on the carpet, walls, doors, and even the television. What an embarrassment for the employees. This hotel is grossly outdated and in poor condition. The staff was very good and tried to accommodate the best they could.
