We had a nice stay in this cabin, but it is less isolated than the photos make it seem. The âriver accessâ is also extremely inaccessible and a little dangerous to get to. Would not recommend for people with mobility issues or small kids/elders. That said, views from the windows are beautiful. The river access was just not what we expected.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay among the breathtaking outdoors of the Columbia River Gorge. The cabin was so peaceful and meticulously detailed to enhance our stay. My 16 yr old now wants a record player! The kitchen was well stocked and allowed us to enjoy prepping meals. It was a great launching point to hiking the many trails and we will definitely return to in the future.
We stayed for 2 nights over a weekend to celebrate our High School graduate and to ground ourselves in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge attractions. The house is beautiful, clean, and fresh with fun decorations. You are near waterfalls, hikes, and beautiful nature. Be sure to sync up on the VRBO app to get the door code while you have internet access. We didn't, and I had to travel back a couple of miles past the fish hatchery to get internet again so I could get the door code. (Lesson learned) We had a couple of glitches during our stay - no gas for the patio fire pit and a kitchen drain issue. We communicated with the property managers and they were very prompt and responsive to the issues. KUDOS to them for that. There was a bit of cleanup that we did with the kitchen drain so that it wouldn't water damage the cabinets and that took some time, hence our 4-star overall experience with everything else a 5. We would stay here again without hesitation and I'm sure we would have a 5-star overall experience.
Timber Moon Getaway was just the relaxing time I was looking for. The house is beautiful. The kitchen was stocked with coffee, tea and hot chocolate. There was a spice drawer and a cupboard with miscellaneous oils and vinegars. Even had oatmeal and waffle mix. The sound in the house travels though due to open concept, so not a lot of privacy. I could hear the family members up stairs pretty well. The only thing I would of liked was a TV downstairs. The check in was so easy. They have tutorials on everything you need to know. One more thing, the river is not as close as I thought either. Despite those things I mentioned I would definitely stay there again. Amazing time
