The rooms are slightly dated and can use some ventilation for the moisture from the bathrooms. Overall, great location and loved the bed!

Great front desk staff - very helpful and positive, especially as they had to coordinate with a gift certificate purchased over a year previously. Beds were nice, resonable room size. Carpet badly needs steam cleaning or replacing, furniture quite dinged up, walls could use a repaint. Bathroom was very clean. As a local visitor, I didn't mind the inconsistencies in upkeep, but I would not recommend to someone I wanted to impress with a Canadian mountain hotel:( Waterton, of course, was amazing.

Checked us in (5:30 pm) initially in a room that has not been cleaned/made up after the previous guest. Went back to reception (in a separate building). The reception staff checked us in another room after conferring with someone on the phone and assured us that the room is ready. Guess what, strike 2, the 2nd room was also not made up/ cleaned after a previous guest. Went back to reception. Took a long time for the staff to confer with somebody else on the phone. Then 2 cleaning staff came to reception. I heard the reception staff giving instructions to clean/make up the 2 previous rooms at which time I ask, are you making us wait, which I was afraid of. Right there and then, I asked for a cancellation and refund/compensation. The reception staff said that he can not do a refund and that it has to be done through Expedia. We are already in touch with Expedia who has committed to work on it and for the refund.

My husband locked our door, I doubled checked that it was locked. We went for breakfast, went back to our room to find the door was opened. Consquently, we went to the front desk to be told that the staff would not open, no apology that an accident could have happened, no not at all, we just recived attitude. We locked the door, so I ask. Who opened it? If we did not come back after breakfast our door would have been opening all day! Then next is they do not clean your room or leave enough coffee more more than one day, when asked at the front desk, told " you should have read the paper I gave you" English, is not our first language, could this person not have explained when we checked in that there is No room service unless requested by 10 am Very poor service and who unlocked our door? Very disconcerting!

My unit was beautifully updated on the inside, with the exception of the toilet/shower room. I don't understand why you would update everything else but decide to leave the old, cracking, nasty tile of the shower and floor in this area untouched!? The toilet room was old looking and the shower was so nasty i wouldn't use it. There is build-up in the corners and the grout is cracking. The outside of the buildings are starting to look pretry rough. I noticed some extwrior beams that were rotted right theough. I also overheard a radio conversation between the manager and someone else. The ceiling in one of the units in my building collapsed in the bathroom while I was there. This place truly looks like an old girl in a new dress. Check in was really slow. Food and service in the restaurant/lounge was exceptional.

For the area it was very good. This is an old National Park. You are there for the nature and beauty of the outdoors. The room was clean and comfortable and a great nights sleep in October just before they close the park.
