We arrived at night, and the parking area and entrance to the room was dimly lit. I wouldn’t feel comfortable traveling alone to this destination. While in our room, we ran out of toilet paper. I texted and called the number in the app to get some more. It took an hour and a half for a response. The response came from the owner in California - not someone local at the hotel. We never received any toilet paper from the staff. After reaching back out to the owner, he said his staff was asleep. It was 8:45 am at this point. He did call me to say it was a learning experience but then continued to go on telling me using a roll of toilet paper during a night with two people was ridiculous. I explained that the hotel didn’t supply tissues and so we had used toilet paper for that. He gave a half-hearted and dismissive apology and made no offer to rectify. While the room was nice, the lack of response to a simple need is unacceptable.

What a treasure! Great location! I know this is a work in progress, but the property is on it's way! We were so glad they kept a lot of the original features like wood paneling, windows, and stone! The additions are fun and bring it up to date. We slept so well!!! Quiet and peaceful. We look forward to staying again.

Wonderful place. It is an older lodge so keep that in mind. There are some upgrades but per the info booklet, there will be more. So you will see a few things that still need to be tweaked. So very charming, would definitely stay again.
