Escape The Commotion - Relax By The Ocean

Come spend your vacation with us this summer. See all the Cape has to offer! We have everything you need to relax and renew with friends and family. We are centrally located on Cape Cod, in West Yarmouth, 27 minutes from the Sagamore Bridge, and 11 minutes from exit 8 on route 6. Our home is within a mile of the famous Seagull Beach which is Yarmouth's largest and most popular beach according to Cape Cod Times 2015. Reason's for this are the space, calm waters, and clean soft sand. We are also under a mile from Eaglewood Beach.

After spending a day at the beach get the sand off your feet with our outdoor shower and enjoy our large private backyard. We have a patio set, classic Cape Cod Adirondack chairs, and yard games. When it's time for dinner use our kitchen, which comes with all the utensils needed to create wonderful meals, or cook on the propane gas grill. Keep the night chill off with our fire pit. If you would rather have someone else do the cooking, choose from the large variety of restaurants along 28 or go into Hyannis Main Street area which is just a 9 minute drive. Still want more to do? Enjoy mini-golf and ice cream at many of the renowned creamery's very close to the house, or catch a movie at the Regal Cinema Theater at the Cape Cod Mall.

If you would prefer catching a movie at home the living room has a 40'' LED SMART TV which has a DVD player and a small library of movies, or bring your favorites from home. After a long day, enjoy a comfortable night's sleep in one of four bedrooms, all of which have either built in's, closets, or dressers. If you sleep in the upstairs bedrooms, when you wake up enjoy morning coffee on the deck just steps from the bed, or stay in bed where the morning sun cascades through the slider and french doors. Get ready for another great day on the Cape!

The house was perfect for 6 of us. Very clean. The kitchen was fully stocked unlike most places that say it is. Each room had its own window AC which was great for everyone. The walk to the beach wasn't that bad it took us about 15-20 minutes. This was our first time on Cape Cod and we will definitely be coming back.

Awesome house

This house was prefect for our stay! It is clean and in an incredibly convenient area for beaches and attractions. I almost don’t want to say how awesome it is because we don’t want it to book up for our next trip! They had a nice sized backyard for activities and a fire pit, plenty of parking and a new grill.

End of summer vacation

The location is great! The house is missing alot to make it comfortable. There were no instructions for wifi or checking out. Hardly any towels for guests. The kitchen is really missing the basics large frying pan, large bowls etc...The deck upstairs literally had no furniture to sit on and the outside table had no umbrella. I've stayed mainly at Airb&b's and the host always left a welcome basket and the houses were well stocked with basics. I think if they made it a little more welcoming I would consider staying there again because we loved Seagull beach.

Nice property

The house was older, but the kitchen and bathrooms were updated. The house was perfect for our family. Close to the beach, shopping and attractions, but in a quiet neighborhood. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Couldn’t find the washer &dryer until the last day of our stay because they were tucked away in a bedroom closet. Would have liked to know that on day one.

Overall, our stay went well. We were in need of an ironing board but none was found. The refrigerator had a bit of mold on the doors. The overall cleanliness could have been better. The communication with the owner was fantastic. He gave us a late check out. We liked the location for what we were doing. Thank you!!!!

Great stay

The house is in a great location, quiet neighborhood and close to Seagull beach. Older, with quirks in line with the style of the home, but well maintained for guests. Have stayed in many similar rentals over the years and this is one of the best for the size/price. Responsive owner who made the rental process easy from start to finish.

This home was clean and the owner was very responsive. It’s location is very convenient to nearby attractions. My family shared with me a few suggestions for improvements: the small step on the top of the staircase was easy to trip on. The same is true for a small step into one of the upstairs bedroom closets. The base around the fireplace could also be a tripping concern. There were multiple light bulbs that were out, and I admit that I didn’t reach out to the owner to replace them during our trip. The light fixtures that do work could be a bit brighter; especially those in the kitchen and dining rooms. Last item of concern is the placement of the toilet paper holder in the upstairs bathroom. It makes an already tight space even more so. Overall, it’s a nice place to stay.

Cape Cod Stay

Property nice. Easy access. Good location to get in and out of RTE 28. Close to Seagull Beach for easy bike ride. Good neighborhood to walk,run, & bike. Pictures fairly accurate but could use more lighting inside. Rooms were a little dark in the evening. Bushes were overgrown along driveway to where difficult to see on-coming traffic getting on the road.

Nice place to stay

Clean. Not fussy but attractive. Convenient location. Was a good set up for us with three couples (there would be room enough for 8 people plus a few small children). Long walk or short drive to very pleasant Seagull Beach. We enjoyed the wild turkeys that kept stopping by the home. Convenient to be able to do a load of laundry on a longer visit. Watch out for the odd short step upstairs (maybe should be marked--by the third day I finally learned to stop tripping over it).

Loved our family time!

This was our first big family vacation in over 10 years. We all said how much we enjoyed this house the past week. The location was perfect—quiet location but close to many places. It was very clean, the kitchen had a nice amount of dishes and cookware. We really appreciated the washer and dryer that was available too. Our young granddaughters really enjoyed the little reading nook under the stairs. Our host was very responsive before and during our visit. Highly recommend this property!

Perfect house for our favorite beach.

There was supposed to be 8 of us but only 5 of us were able to make. The home was perfect for the 5 of us. It’s a pleasant 20 minute walk from the house to our favorite beach, Seagull Beach. The owner responded quickly to our questions. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Fabulous Family visit

The house is lovely: updated kitchen and bathrooms. The yard is wonderful for little kids and for adults - safe space for little ones to play. We walked to the lovely beach. Landlord very helpful and personable. We hope to return next year!!!
