Oceanfront 5BR | Hot Tub, Game Room & Kids Bunk Room | Steps to Pacific
Wandering Dunes sits about 100 paces from the Pacific Ocean boardwalk â close enough that you fall asleep to the sound of waves, far enough that you're not eating sand with your morning coffee. It's a five-bedroom oceanfront home built around one idea: that everyone on the trip should have something that's theirs.
The adults get three king beds, a queen, a hot tub on its own private slab just off the back patio, a master balcony with unobstructed ocean views, a Breville espresso machine, and enough space to actually feel like they're on vacation. The kids get something they won't stop talking about.
The Bunk Room Hand-painted murals cover the walls. The theming is immersive â this isn't a room with a couple of bunk beds and a nautical print. It's a genuine kids' space that earns its own reviews. There's also a dress-up closet and a scavenger hunt hidden throughout the house â eight octopuses tucked into unexpected spots. Finding them all takes most of a rainy afternoon.
The House Five bedrooms across two levels sleep up to 12. Three full bathrooms and a half bath keep mornings manageable. The main level has an open kitchen and living space with ocean views, Smart TVs, and fast WiFi. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for real cooking â plus an Instant Pot and the Breville espresso setup for the coffee people in your group. The game room has ping pong and cornhole. There's also an EV charger in the driveway.
Outside The hot tub sits on its own private slab just off the back patio â open to the sky, which means star-gazing on clear nights and that particular Pacific Northwest magic of soaking in warm water while rain falls around you. The outdoor patio is set up for meals, conversations, and doing nothing in particular. The boardwalk to the beach is right next door â flip-flop pace, no car required. The beach itself stretches for miles in both directions and is open to dogs year-round.
Summer vs. Winter Summer brings long days, warm sand, fresh Dungeness crab and salmon bought directly off the boats at the marina, gray whale sightings during migration, and some of the best surfing on the Washington coast. Winter is genuinely spectacular in a different way â king tides, storm fronts rolling in off the Pacific, glass floats washing up on the beach, and sitting in an open-air hot tub while rain falls and waves crash in the distance. Westport is one of the few coastal towns where off-season is actually worth it.
What's Nearby Downtown Westport is about 7 minutes away â marina, charter fishing, fresh seafood shacks, the Grays Harbor Lighthouse (tallest in Washington), surf rentals, and the Maritime Museum. Razor clamming season draws people from across the state when the dates are released. Five state parks are within a short drive. It's a small town that earns repeat visits.
About the Neighborhood Wandering Dunes sits in a quiet residential area near the beach. The neighborhood is part of an ongoing development â new homes are being built nearby as the area grows, which means some construction activity in the surrounding blocks. Nothing that affects your stay, and the property itself is a peaceful place to land. The ocean is still right there.
Good to Know Smart lock self check-in â code sent before arrival once rental agreement is signed and security deposit is placed. Private driveway fits 4 vehicles, no street parking. One owners-only closet upstairs. Pets welcome. EV charger available (adapter required: EVOCHARGE 32A).
The owners, Lauren and Jeff, were so kind and accommodating to our family. They facilitated such a wonderful trip going above and beyond with more amenities for our little ones than we could count. They have thought of every last detail to make a trip feel easy and comfortable. 10/10 a must stay!
