Please note property has been let privately for a couple of 6 month terms and has several regular corporate guests so not many reviews. Is also listed and reviewed across 4 other sites. Incredibly spacious property with master bedroom, 2 lounges, dining room and kitchen all having expansive harbour views.
Watch the sunrise from the large Master bedroom with a super king bed, ensuite and walk in wardrobe. There is also a sofa bed and desk with chair in the room. The small bedroom adjacent to the main has a King Single bed with a King Single trundler The Queen bedroom is at the other end of the apartment and has a full bathroom including bath and seperate shower next to it. A seperate toilet is the next room along. The Queen bedroom opens out onto the back deck area and enjoys afternoon sun.
Massive lounge with reclining couches and large Smart TV. Dining table is extendable to fit at least 8. Cane seating room off the large kitchen that is fully equipped.
Master bedroom and all living spaces open onto a balcony and overlook the Whangarei Harbour looking out to the Whangarei Heads and the back of the apartment opens onto a sunny deck with Weber BBQ and seating.
Apartment is ideally suited to 2 couples as each would have a bathroom or for 1 couple and 2 singles.
For a large family/friends group please check out our Beach Harbour Lane property which incorporates the bottom floor apartment sleeping up to 11.
NO HIDDEN CHARGES
Well situated in Whangarei's seaside suburb, easy 9km drive into town and sitting at the entrance to the Whangarei Heads with its wide variety of beaches and bush walks. Easy drive to a large number of golf courses.
40 mins to Tutukaka Coast.
Whangarei's amazing TopSail restaurant is a few hundred metres along the waterfront- bookings essential and Flames Cafe, Restaurant, Bar & Events Centre is just a few km drive away along with a supermarket and various local shops and takeaways.
Garage parking for 1 car or 2 small cars and off street parking for another plus grass verge.
There is another apartment on the ground floor - completely seperate access, Beach Lane Apartment which sleeps 4. We ask that both sets of guests respect each other noise wise. See the listing for Beach Harbour Lane for the full property sleeping up to 11.
Not suitable for children aged 0-10 years. Refer to Beach Harbour Lane if you have young children.
The hosts live just a few minutes away and will meet you upon arrival. Then fully respectful of your privacy but just a message, text or call away if needed for anything.
Quality towels and linens provided. Upon check out it is expected that your distribute your rubbish to the outside bins and the apartment is left in a clean and tidy state.
There are kayaks, bikes and paddleboards in the garage for use of all guests in our 3 apartments.

The Best Ever!

Our stay was as better than we could have imagined. The apartment is better equipped than any we have experienced. The view is as wonderful as promised and the location is perfect. We were able to, and did, take long walks, long rides on a beautiful bike path, enjoy the paddle boards and take delightful paddles in the kayaks including up the shoe to a mangrove wetland where we saw a dozen white faced herons. And as wonderful as all that was, the kindness and attentiveness of our hostess was beyond compare. She was available to answer questions and provide help but gave us all the privacy we could have wanted. The best stay ever; we look forward to returning.

This property has an amazing view of bay from all rooms. Leeann added little amenities like bath salts, luxury body products, coffee, and even ice cream in the freezer! She is an amazing host and we will definitely return and recommend to friends. She has a no shoes policy, which we appreciate because it keeps the house clean. 5 Star!

The accommodation was spacious, beautifully equipped and in immaculate condition. Its location was superb with terrific views over the water. Without being in any way obtrusive, our hosts did everything possible to ensure our comfort and make us feel welcome. We shall certainly hope to make return visits.

Wonderful apartment that was bigger than most peoples houses with beautiful views. Lots of extras for guests in kitchen and dressing gowns too. Perfect holiday location

Easy to organise, amazing waterfront location, very comfortable beds, spacious, house was equipped with lots of little extras to make our stay very enjoyable. There wouldn't be many ways to improve on this place. Only issue could be if you had noisy people in the adjoining accommodation below.

Stunning harbour views from every room and the best bed ever!!

Loved our stay in the beautiful upstairs floor of the house which had multiple bedrooms and wonderful views right on the waters edge of boats whizzing by and bird and fish life. The house is elegantly decorated with cosy spots to sit inside and out. The super king sized bed was amazingly soft and comfortable. It is only a 5-10 minute drive to Whangarei, which makes it a perfect spot to stay. Leeann was the most obliging host and we loved the little personal touches on our arrival. We would highly recommend this lovely home, you wont be disappointed.

Beautiful location and excellent accommodation

The property was even better than we anticipated. It is very comfortable with many extra touches. It was clean and quite luxurious. Our hosts left us chocolate and a bottle of wine. There was a coffee machine (with coffee) and a plunger and various supplies like breakfast spreads that one doesn't always find in rented accommodation. The hi-fi actually had an attachment for my Ipod (I seldom find this) so we could listen to music. In fact it was a similar model to one we have. We did find the "cloud" cushioning on our bed too soft but were able to remove it. The property is a few kilometres' drive from the centre of town but in a spot with beautiful sea views. A pretty cat which seems to live around the area tried very hard to get into the apartment as we were leaving. A dear little thing. Altogether Harbour Lane is a credit to the owners. Wer would be more than happy to return.

Working Holiday in Whangarei

Beautiful place, looks just like it does in the listing. We were there for 3 nights and four days and we loved it; stunning views and setting with beautifully set out gardens and decks on every side, birdsong and quiet. I was not aware until I had booked that there was an apartment immediately below the main apartment or that the owners lived on-site (neither of those things was a problem at all, just a bit of a surprise); perhaps I didn't look closely at the listing. We were mostly there alone. We asked for privacy, peace and quiet and we got it. Everything was perfect, never met the owner(s) but the place was spotless and they had thought of everything we could have asked for; furniture, amenities, it was all comfortable, modern and stylish. All the rooms were lovely to be in; it was clear that someone had put a lot of thought and care into this home. The area is remote from Whangarei but not isolated; plenty of little shops etc nearby but not many options for food (especially if you don't drive). For delivery, curry, thai or pizza were the only options but all were decent; coffee was a bit average in the area, the cafe at the airport was best. All in all, very easy to find (from Auckland), not too far out of town for a weekend/public holiday and a beautiful place to visit. Surprisingly busy for a little sleepy seaside suburb; there was always someone on the water or walking their dog past the house but that didn't affect our enjoyment of the peace and quiet at all and many a happy hour was spent on the balcony.
