About this property

New! Cozy Log Home Getaway | Wood Fireplace, Hot Tub & Wraparound Deck

Welcome to Sundance Cabin!

You'll find this log cabin tucked into towering pines, with sweeping forest views out every window. Soaring wood-beamed ceilings, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and a private hot tub make it feel like a proper mountain retreat from the moment you walk in. It's close enough to downtown Whitefish to enjoy everything the town has to offer, but far enough away that you can actually hear yourself think.

The main level is open and easy, built around a kitchen that's meant to be used, not just admired. There's a gas cooktop, a wine fridge, and enough island seating for everyone to hang out while dinner comes together. When it's time to eat, the farmhouse dining table is right there, or you can grab a plate and head toward the fire instead. Light pours in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, and a few sets of French doors open onto a wraparound deck, a great spot for coffee in the morning or a drink once the sun starts to dip behind the trees.

The living room is where most evenings end up. A branch chandelier hangs overhead, and a leather lounge chair sits near a couple of plush sofas, all facing the wood fireplace. Upstairs, the primary suite has a king bed, its own deck access, and views that make it hard to leave. Two more sleeping areas round things out, a queen bedroom and a room with twin beds, so the whole group has somewhere comfortable to land. All told, there's a king, a queen, and two twins.

This is the kind of place that works for a lot of different trips, whether you're gathering the family, escaping for a few quiet days, or just need somewhere good to work from for a while.

Beyond the slopes, explore snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, or a peaceful winter hike. When you're ready to warm up, stroll through downtown Whitefish, filled with cozy cafes, galleries, and local shops. Don't miss the iconic Whitefish Winter Carnival, featuring parades, skijoring, and small-town charm at its best.

Summer
When the snow melts, Whitefish becomes an outdoor playground. Spend sunny days on Whitefish Lake or explore over 100 lakes and rivers within 100 miles, including legendary Flathead Lake -- the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. At Whitefish Mountain Resort, summer brings mountain biking, hiking, zip-lining, ropes courses, alpine slides, and scenic gondola rides with panoramic Glacier National Park views. Glacier is just a 45-minute drive away, perfect for a day trip to the Going-to-the-Sun Road, Lake McDonald, or one of its 70+ hiking trails. For local flavor, explore the Whitefish Trail System (43 miles of hiking and biking), enjoy local breweries, distilleries, golf courses, and art galleries, and catch seasonal events like Huckleberry Days, farmers markets, rodeos, and the Under the Big Sky Music Festival.
