Overlooking a year 'round babbling creek, this mountain retreat will surround you in natural beauty while giving comfort, joy, and awe. Sweeping views of the hillside and creek set the mood in the great room. The wall of windows provide warm light for gathering at the dining table and lounging on the large sectional. Luxurious finishes include a chef's kitchen with corner farm-sink, granite counters, plus commercial range and hood. Details like locally harvested, reclaimed barn wood, soaring beams, and rich walnut doors & trim compliment the native setting. There’s also a wood-burning stove providing both warmth and ambiance.

With a private entry to the deck, the large main floor bedroom features an ensuite, five-piece bathroom. A cheery loft, overlooking the kitchen, is a great space to play games, cuddle-up with a book, or watch movies. There are two additional bedrooms, each with a private balcony, plus spacious bathroom to complete the second floor.

Find magic at the falls! Walk to amazing creekside deck -- so close to waterfall you will feel the cool mist rising up from the clear water below. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail on this exquisite, multi-leveled, redwood deck.

Stargaze from the hot tub on large deck overlooking the year 'round creek. Explore the grounds: Walking paths are nestled among the ancient oak trees, providing a great opportunity to unwind.

Wow! What a slice of heaven. Our family spent Christmas here and enjoyed every minute. Jody was an amazing host- the house was super clean, had all the small details, AND there was a fresh Christmas tree decorated. Jody was a superior host- great communication from start to end. We celebrated our annual Sisters’ Weekend at Whitmore Falls. It was a perfect get away for 5 women in their 60s and 70s.Jody and Lisa were incredible hosts and their farm animals of all sorts were additional ambassadors who provided great entertainment.The house was well stocked, spacious, and tastefully appointed. The interior and exterior exceeded our expectations.The grounds were well kept and the creek was relaxing and beautiful. The rock formations are so interesting. Communication was top notch and Jody was so accommodating.This was our first visit to Whitmore and this farm experience was an excellent introduction to a beautiful area with lots of outdoor opportunities.

Spectacular!

This is a phenomenal property with a stunning home! Finding all this in one spot is a rare opportunity, so don’t miss it. Just book it, you won’t be sorry. This wonderful vacation spot has a beautiful and well-maintained home with lovely design details. You will have beautiful views, a private creek to dip your feet and explore in, plus the awesome swimming hole under the waterfalls 
 all to yourselves—priceless! Swimming next to the waterfalls was so much FUN! We enjoyed the frogs & lizards by the creek and all the little fish in it. Woodpeckers visited every morning with great birding all day long. Stargazing while hot tubbing was amazing. We also enjoyed the farm goats, geese, chickens, and doggies, too. Just bring your groceries, no need to leave. The owners are truly kind and gave us complete privacy. We found we never wanted to leave and know we will go back. It is too darn great (and easy!), we have to :)

Absolutely Amazing

Our mini vacay was absolutely amazing. The pictures and descriptions do not do it justice. It's an experience we will never forget. The home is beautiful and everything was so clean and comfortable, and the creek and waterfalls were nothing but magical. The farm animals were such a delight and so fun to spend time with. But Jody and Lisa's warm hearts and wonderful hospitality is what really brings everything together to make your stay perfect. Thank you again.

Another wonderful stay

Back from another wonderful stay at Whitmore falls. Jody’s property is truly amazing. My family and I have stayed before but each time somehow we make even more great memories. Even our dog loves visiting! The house is beautiful, well stocked and comfortable. Having access to the falls is great for our son. I’m worried one trip he won’t want to come back home.

Another fantastic stay

We returned to Whitmore for an extra-long weekend with family and friends and everything was perfect—again. From the thoughtful welcome gifts awaiting us, to the beautiful animals our kids delighted in greeting everyday, and of course the waterfalls and swimming hole that were exceptionally full this year from the rains
 We enjoyed and deeply relaxed. Jody and Lisa are the most thoughtful and warm hosts around, and make guests feel so welcome. We find it hard to leave this magical place, but do so knowing we will be back!

Wonderful Return to Whitmore Falls

This was our second stay here and we were so glad to come back. Everything was just as wonderful as we remembered and we made some great memories there again. Jody is an excellent host; welcoming, friendly and helpful. (We especially appreciated her help finding a great vet nearby when our pup unexpectedly needed to make a visit.). If you come in the summer, definitely reserve ample time for swimming/relaxing down by the waterfalls and creek. It's so beautiful and refreshing on a hot summer day. Thanks, Jody! Adventure awaits

My family and I had an absolutely amazing stay at Whitmore Falls. Not only was the house immaculate, but the attention to detail and amenities exceeded our expectations. The house in itself is well-appointed with beautiful decor, comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen supplies. The outside grounds are a dream come true for city folks. There is ample space to explore and to rejuvenate by the majestic creek and under the clear starry sky. My children loved feeding the animals and exploring the grounds. The homeowners were very kind, attentive, and helpful during our stay. We loved learning about the daily workings of the farm. We hope to come back again soon! Supremely Comfortable Stay!

We had such a lovely time here! The house is beautifully appointed with everything we could have needed. Gourmet kitchen, lovely dinner outdoors on the deck, with multiple seating areas. Perfect Stay :)

Our family had a pleasant experience staying at this excellent home. The property is super clean, spacious and beautifully designed. We visited the creek, the current was running strong but the view was amazing. We enjoyed interacting with all the animals (hens, baby chicks, goats, horses...and the sweetest dogs Penny and Nova!) Jody and Lisa are super hosts! They are very friendly and thoughtful. They made our trip unforgettable. Thank you for all the laughter and fun times! Highly recommended!

Wonderful stay

The house has many modern conveniences and makes for a very comfortable stay. The loft with big screen TV was great for the kids to have their own space at times during the day, and there were many DVDs that were family friendly. The beds are comfortable and the window shades are blackout style to help with sleeping in. During the winter the hot water made it through the pipes pretty quickly and the water pressure is really good in the showers. The property is pretty big (10 acres?) to explore and the goats and hens are fun to see everyday. Best of all, the property owners are very friendly and are dedicated to enabling a wonderful stay!

Fantabulous retreat

We are very late in leaving a five-star review for this amazing place, where we stayed late last summer. To begin with, it's hosted and lovingly cared for by an incredibly warm and generous person. The house is stunning. The kitchen is set up for people who really like to cook. And the swimming hole is simply amazing. On top of that, the garden is bountiful and the goats and chickens very friendly. We will definitely be back!

Always a wonderful stay!

This is our 3rd time staying at Whitmore falls. The house and property are amazing and comfortable . Jody has literally thought of everything that you need in a vacation rental. We can’t wait to return!

perfect!

we picked this property because of the waterfall, but it was perfect in so many ways. my two daughters who needed to work were able to do so and enjoy the views at the same time. my son who loves to fish spent many hours at the creek/waterfall. all of the kids and spouses enjoy cooking and the kitchen had everything the could have imagined needing. i wanted to read and enjoy our dogs and it was an ideal spot for both. the garden was delightful and the goats and chickens a hoot. a wonderful place to relax!

We truly enjoyed staying at Jody's property! She was an awesome host, the house was beautiful, clean and the waterfall and swimming hole was everything the decrition said it was. So fun!

Fantastic Cabin and Property

I can't speak highly enough about our stay in Jody's cabin. The house itself seemed to be fully custom, with fantastic attention to detail. We really enjoyed the layout, especially the large wrap-around deck, living/dining area with floor to ceiling windows, and loft area to keep the kids entertained. The metal and raw-wood staircase is particularly impressive. In addition, the entire house (including the hot tub) was sparklingly clean. This is probably going to sound like hyperbole, but I have stayed in a lot of rental properties and have NEVER seen a better furnished kitchen. The commercial stove and farm sink were amazing, the knives were razor sharp, spice drawer was stocked better than my own, and there was every kitchen tool you could possibly need. I love to cook and cooking in this kitchen was a pleasure. In addition to all of that, the waterfall, sun deck and swimming hole on property were incredible. It was amazing to have exclusive access to them by simply walking out the front door. Our family played in the water for hours, jumping off the rocks, swimming and exploring both up and down the creek. The property itself is very peaceful, my daughters enjoyed feeding and interacting with the goats and chickens and sitting on the deck watching the stars at night. Jody was on site across the property, but not intrusive in the least. She was very welcoming and helpful with suggestions of places to go, see and eat. In short, I highly recommend Jody's rental. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back.

Amazing getaway!

The house and property are wonderful. The house is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. The creek was amazing! We spent time swimming, exploring and sitting in the creek on chairs or on the deck relaxing and reading. The hot tub under the stars was so beautiful.

True paradise

I cannot possibly say enough good things about this property that would adequately describe our experience. It went so above all of our hopes and expectations. The first time we saw their private riverfront with the waterfalls it made us emotional. It is so peaceful and other worldly, you really don’t want to leave the property. The house is beautifully designed and decorated and definitely the most thoughtfully stocked rental we’ve ever stayed at. Jody was so sweet and generous, sharing fresh eggs from her hens and answering any questions we had. We were traveling with teens and sometimes it’s hard to get them excited about trips where they’ll be “off grid” but to our surprise the WiFi works great here! It was such a fun compromise where we could have the nature immersion we were craving and they could still feel connected. It was a 3.5 hour trip from the Bay Area and in such a perfect in between spot to all the local parks and attractions. You won’t regret booking here, everything was phenomenal . We’ll definitely be back. Thanks Jody!

Riverfront magic

What an incredible property and what amazing hosts. Truly one of the most special places we’ve come across. Our kids were thrilled to collect eggs from the free-roaming chickens, to feed the nice goats. Those were their (non river) highlights along with the big hot tub, corn hole and multiple board games to be found. The house is pretty much perfect - dream kitchen with all the accoutrements, big comfy beds, beautiful beams and high ceilings, electric piano, big couches, and lot of useable outdoor entertaining space. And then
there is the spectacular river/river deck. Private river access with a grill, full dining table, and lounge chairs. Amazing swimming holes and even the perfect path to a separate quiet river entrance for the toddler/preschool aged kiddos. We cannot wait to return to this gem!
