Experience the BEST that Historic Downtown Wilmington has to offer at this NEW renovated 3-bedroom Historic Bungalow! Easily walkable to the Waterfront, Brooklyn Arts District, Soda Pop District and Historic Downtown. The property features 2 Queen Beds, 2 Twin Beds, and a Queen Sleeper Sofa accompanied by 2 Full Bathrooms - perfect for families or a group of friends. And we welcome pets upon request!

The Primary Bedroom is located in the rear of the home and is outfitted with a Queen bed, TV, and Full Bathroom with stand up tile shower.

The two additional bedrooms - one with Queen bed and the other with two Twin beds - both have TVs and share the second full bathroom equipped with double sinks and a large tub with tile shower.

The kitchen (like the rest of the home) is brand new and features an updated style and design, including a large eat-in dining space, peninsula with bar, and open concept.

Within the home are new laundry machines available free of charge for guests’ use, with complimentary laundry pods.

The front porch is a gem! Be sure to admire the 125yr old original historic columns from your rocking chair while sipping a cold beverage and enjoying the serenity our quiet little alley has to offer. It’s hard to believe you’re in the heart of downtown!

Out back, the brand new deck is a great spot to enjoy a meal or some social time! Be sure to catch a glimpse of sweet Chestnut Street Presbyterian Church while you’re out there - the oldest African American Presbyterian Church in the North Carolina.

- [ ] Could not get ahold of property manager to obtain access instructions. Had to call VRBO to help- [ ] AC unit not working when we arrived. Property manager said someone would come next day but offered no assistance during first night. Home was 81 degrees and so hot it was utterly miserable to try and sleep. Windows did not have screens so could not be left open during the evening. Was not repaired until 24 hours later. - [ ] Very slow internet. Had a hard time even receiving emails and texts. Phone calls were almost impossible. Streaming was choppy. Not possible to even search Google for things to do in town. - [ ] I can’t fathom how no previous review mentioned this, but the house is on the landing flight line to the airport. All day flights are landing at regular intervals, I’d estimate 1000-1500 ft above ground, directly overhead of this house. It’s very, very loud and drowns out all other sound.

The Host was Excellent to respond to all messages and I sent several before reserving and after.Positives:- The home is lovely and meets the description on Vrbo. Neighborhood nice and quiet. A 10-15 minute walk takes you downtown and the waterway.- home is well equipped with kitchen utensils, pots, toaster, oven, microwave, two coffee maker, and electric kettle. Plenty of dishes, cups, glasses.- washer/dryer behind closed doors with easy access.- nice bathrooms.What can improve:First appearance is clean, but as you unpack and prepare for bed, the true lack of great cleaning becomes apparent: crumbs, dust, etc. probably true for all rentals? But causes caution and wonder.It was small things that add up to me not giving a 10. -Parking: is in Grassy area a house away, owners of closest house have posted No Parking signs along their fence, making you skeptical to park reaching out to host.- can’t park in front of house, really is an alley, entry at back is closer to parking, but path to back door is cluttered.- The back deck beautiful but filthy, part of the cleaning should include sweeping deck and wiping the table and chairs.- no curtains or blinds in kitchen at window or back door, allowing lights from neighbors to disturb sleep on sofa sleeper - TVs and lamps not plugged in.- provide instructions for thermostat!- needs more bed linen and covers

Had issue with AC on property, owner was responsive and tried to give tips to get it working- ultimately had to leave property. VRBO customer support is absolutely awful and i was on the phone for 2.5 hours while they tried to find a different VRBO after we told them we just needed a refund because of how late it was. Host was helpful and understanding.

We enjoyed our week stay here. The host was responsive, and the house was comfortable and had everything we needed. They even had a high chair and pack-and-play for our toddler. The airplanes were loud occasionally but that would be true of anywhere in downtown. We were overall very happy and would recommend this host to anyone coming to the area.

Lovely little home.

My family and I recently stayed here, we absolutely loved this beautiful little home. The alley was very cute and cozy too, it felt like stepping back in time a little bit. Friendly neighbors and the host is so very nice and had a great response time. Parking was simple and the house is in a perfect location, can walk anywhere in the beautiful historic district of town and the beach was a pretty short drive. My family and I will definitely be staying here again!

Fun Easter weekend

This house is adorable and is located in a great area of Wilmington. We enjoyed the front porch and the nice kitchen. There was a small issue getting into the house but Lindsey was helpful. Everything was great!
