The room was pleasantly decorated with 2 queen beds. The furniture is well-maintained. Requested a pet friendly room and they provided a pet blanket to put on the bed which was very nice. There is a separate sink area with a coffee pot etc outside of the bathroom…nice touch. The staff was very friendly and we were greeted by staff that were hanging out in the casino after their shift as we walked from the restaurant to our room. We checked in around 8:30 and ordered a late dinner from the kitchen. I had a NY strip sandwich with a baked potato. It was cooked perfectly to order and was so large it could easily feed two. The only negative comment I can make is that the fridge had a leak so the bottom shelf had a good amount of water. Overall, this is a great place to stay in Winnemucca.

I loved that I could park right outside our room and empty the car without having to walk a long ways or take an elevator. The woman at the front desk was very nice and professional and everything is clean.

The hotel was in need of updating however our room was fine. The exterior was dirty as garbage was not cleaned up. Also the salad bar was ok however they refused to replenish the soup as it was 2 hours before closing.

My Stay

I wound up in a pet room even though I didn't have a pet. The carpet had a lot of spots where a pet had obviously dome something in the room. The spots had been cleaned but they left spots where it was also obvious the rest of the carpet was quite dirty. I informed the clerk when I checked out that they should look into this. Other than that, the service was great, breakfast in the restaurant was excellent.

The rooms are clean and spacious. Comfortable bed and furnishing. But the AC was not able to cool the room. I could never get it below about 80 degrees in the room so did not sleep well. And I waited over 30 minutes to check in, while the one person behind the counter took forever to handle a group with a block of rooms, while she was also working the cashier cage for the casino and answering the phones.

This property exceeds its limitations with one of the most tried and true methods-the unmatched friendliness and customer service of the staff. It might not be the best hotel-casino in Nevada, but the staff who work there are the nicest by a long, long shot.
