Noisy neighbours through the night

Although listed as family friendly, it is not. There lists a pool, but it is very small and costs an extra $10. Kids would not enjoy this, and there are a lot of adult-friendly options, but not for kids. We had tremendously noisy neighbours who we reported several times with no resolution until about 3 am. This left us with two very sleep deprived parents who had to then drive 3 hours to get home safely. I realize that you’re at the mercy of who your neighbours are, but I think the hotel could have been more pro-active at shutting down our drunk neighbours. We really wanted a quiet, relaxing night away from home but left on an hour of sleep and frustrated.

Black carpet shows stains and the type of carpet used hung on to lint etc so the carpet did not look vacuumed. The elevator situation- one of two not working through the Xmas holidays. They have the bones for a great hotel but it is only at the cheap and cheerful stage.

The shower and toilet are very old and outdated in terrible condition. Room floor was smeared with some jell, i have no idea what it was but not clean the bed was clean and comfortable.

The room looked like it wasn’t cleaned. There was toothpaste on the wall above the sink and hair in many areas in the room including the bed. Room walls are paper thin so we can hear everything from the rooms around us and the people who go by in the halls. For the high price you pay this hotel is not worth it at all.

I love this mature glamorous hotel. It represents what a hotel should be when you’re looking for somewhere special at a special time like Christmas. The staff was exceptional, the facilities fabulous, absolutely no complaints.
