To wander along the shore, journey to Orford Ness Beach (11 miles), which has a large shingle stretch that backs onto a National Trust Nature Reserve. Immerse yourself in its fascinating 20th-century military history or go to the keen hiking spot of Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you'll find hundreds of miles of vast heathland, ancient woodlands, and picturesque forestry.
