Prom Queen - Stay 5 Nights PAY 4 - Jan 1-22
Set on a gentle slope at the top of a quiet street, this home has lovely views across the green paddocks of Yanakie and is perfectly positioned to soak in the sunlight.
Prom Queen easily sleeps 8 guests, with 3 comfortable rooms in the house and a fourth bedroom in a studio/retreat across the back yard, great for those wanting some privacy or teens/children wanting their own space.
The central hub of the home is open plan, with kitchen/living + dining, bedrooms off to the left and right of this area. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and stovetop, modern appliances including a coffee machine and microwave, plus all cooking utensils-essentials one will need. There is a fridge and a mini freezer in the laundry. The lounge has a woodfire, ideal in winter (a small amount of wood is provided). A split system is also located in this area for both cooling and heating. Relax on the lounge and enjoy the 46 inch television with Apple TV available
The Master bedroom contains a queen bed and shares a door with the main bathroom of the house, a shower over the bath and separate toilet are included in the bathroom.
The second bedroom has a queen bed and overlooks the front garden.
Bedroom 3 has a set of single bunks (2 beds) with the option for a third bed as a floor mattress that sleeps two.
Bedroom 4 is located at the back of the house in the studio. It contains a small kitchenette + 1x Queen bed.
The second bathroom is located in the shed, a few paces from the back door, containing a shower, basin and toilet, great for when returning from a beach trip.
Linen Not Provided: Bedding (quilts and pillows + blankets) for all beds is provided but guests need to supply their own linen: 3x queen + 2x single sheets and quilt covers + towels.
WiFi Included.
Outdoor Entertaining:
Enjoy relaxed outdoor dining on the front verandah, where you'll find an outdoor table setting that overlooks the garden. Fire up the BBQ and make the most of this lovely space for alfresco meals and entertaining.
Fishing:
We kindly ask you not to wash fish inside our property, including any of the bathrooms.
Strictly No Smoking inside the property.

Yanakie is located 5mins from the gateway to Wilsons Prom. A further 20 mins to Tidal River and Squeaky Beach - voted Australia's Best Beach. We are located between Corner Inlet and Shallow Inlet, not far from boat launches. We are lucky to be located in very close proximity to the General Store and a small walk to Prom Coast Pizza (and Bar) which has a great Pizza menu, perfect for late evening arrival to grab a quick bite on the go. Nearby Towns include Fish creek: Galleries, BP Service station, quirky shops + the Fishy Pub, Meeniyan: Local bakery hotspots, Op-shops, locally owned retail stores and more, Foster: Foodworks + IGA, local cafe's and trinket stores + The Exhange Hotel for a pub feed. There are plenty of Wineries and Cideries like: Waratah Hills, Gurneys Cidery, for day trips and events. Wherever you may venture to in our favourite part of South Gippsland, be sure to prepare, the locals are always up for a friendly yarn.
- Getting Around
Yanakie is a lovely Village to stroll around, however getting beyond this you will need your own car. If you require electric vehicle charging, there is a charging station located 1 min drive from the house at the Yanakie Community Hall. There are other locations in the area for electric vehicle charging, details of which can be found online.
- Other things to note
Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control.
This property is on tank water and septic system.
