Raven's Nest - 2 bedroom house - York

This property is a late 19th century Victorian built mid terrace house which has recently been beautifully renovated and tastefully furnished into a holiday home.

It is ideally located just outside the city centre but within easy reach and only a 20 minute walk of the many attractions, bars, cafes and restaurants.

Located close by and within a 5 minutes walk are pubs, takeaways, shops and a supermarket. The racecourse and designer shopping outlet are within a 10 minute drive. Both the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales are within easy reach.

The property offers a bedroom with king-size bed, original cast iron fireplace, dressing table, built in cupboard and wardrobe and a second bedroom with twin beds, original cast iron fireplace and ample storage.

For guests booking for 5 guests, we will provide the linen for a single pull out bed. This can also be added on for an additional charge for guests that only have 4 guests but would like the option of separate beds.

Downstairs is a luxury Bathroom, newly renovated to a high standard with P shaped bath with shower over bath, sink and WC and and heated floor.

There is a fully fitted and equipped kitchen including electric oven with gas hob, larder fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and washing machine.

When its time to relax you can enjoy the comfortable living room with sofa, chair, LCD HD 32” Flatscreen TV with freeview, DVD player and extensive DVD library, a small selection of games, Ipod Dock and free WiFi Internet access and library of books.

There is a separate dining room with dining table and 4 chairs. To the rear is a secure and enclosed backyard with table and four chairs.
This beautifully renovated late 19th-century Victorian mid-terrace offers the perfect blend of character and comfort, thoughtfully furnished to create a welcoming holiday home.

Ideally situated just outside York city centre, it’s an easy 20-minute walk to the city’s renowned attractions, bars, cafes, and restaurants.

The property features two charming bedrooms:
A spacious master bedroom with a king-size bed, original cast iron fireplace, dressing table, built-in cupboard, and wardrobe
A second bedroom with twin beds, another original fireplace, and ample storage.

A single pull out bed can also be added on request ( this is not included in the price for 4 guests)

Downstairs, you’ll find a newly refurbished luxury bathroom with a P-shaped bath and overhead shower, sink, WC, and underfloor heating. Hand soap is provided for your convenience.

The fully equipped kitchen includes an electric oven, gas hob, larder fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, and washing machine—everything you need for a comfortable stay.

The cosy living room is the perfect place to unwind, with a sofa, armchair, 32” LCD HD flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD player and a wide DVD collection, games, books, iPod dock, and free Wi-Fi.

A separate dining room provides a dining table and four chairs, ideal for family meals or entertaining.

Outside, enjoy a secure, enclosed rear yard with outdoor seating for four—perfect for relaxing with a morning coffee or evening drink.

Good place to stay. One mile into city center. 2 bedrooms are up 1 flight of very narrow & steep stairs. As a result, we chose to leave our suitcases downstairs. The bathroom was nice but downstairs. It has a washer & a drying rack which was very nice.

Comfortable property near York

Comfortable clean home with everything we needed and 15 min walk into York,which is a lovely town with plenty of shops. Also shops nearby including a fish and chip shop. Only downside was trouble parking but we found somewhere not too far away.

Great location for York city centre

The house is very convenient for walking to the many attractions of York city centre. It was clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom and a good shower. Communcation with the host was excellent. We would certainly recommend!

The house was warm and cosy and spotlessly clean. Bed linen, towels, loo rolls provided as well as dish cloths, tea towels, washing up liquid and liquid hand wash soap. Free parking on the street and only a 15 minute walk to city centre.Will definitely stay here again

Just perfect

Small but perfect in every way. Clean , tidy , warm. Comfy linen and beds. Perfectly clean white towels provided too. Location to centre was perfect about 20 min walk. Could probably do faster but I was in a wheelchair so the dining room off the hallway was accessible to fold and store this away rather than putting back in car every time.Free parking was great. Street was very busy but we were very lucky to get a spot just opposite the house. Would definitely stay again. Thankyou

A modernised small terraced house with steep stairs and small kitchen in a good location. Some minor niggles like loose toilet seat, stiff door lock and scraping bathroom door. A few more basic supplies like salt and kitchen roll would have helped plus a non-slip mat in the bathroom.

A cozy home from home for a stay in York and with easy access to the Moors.

Delightful small house, in a good location, walkable to the centre of York. The listing was detailed and accurate and communication with the host was good, with ample notes left in the house. There were three in our party and space and amenties were quite sufficient.

A lovely little property, tucked out of the way 15 minutes walk from one of the gates to the city of York. We parked the car and then left it there. There were local buses but we didn't feel the need to use them. A very modern downstairs bathroom. The stairs were narrow but were aware of this in the comprehensive details. The host was very communicative and let us know all details in ample time. Thanks Angela (and John)

A perfect home base to discover York from.

In a nice quiet neighbourhood on the outskirts of York, with ample parking. This lovingly maintained townhouse was the perfect starting point for our city trip to York. A 15 minute walk by some fine architecture takes you to the heart of the city. Perfect for a family getaway. The connecting walls are a bit thin however, so you there is no ABSOLUTE silence when the neighbours are home.

Absolutely lovely

The house is in a lovely quiet street and we easily found parking right outside. Good selection of local shops and takeaways a 2 min walk away. Walking into town took about 20 mins, but we were walking with my 10 year old. The decor is lovely; neutral and tasteful. Modern kitchen and bathroom that looked like new. We used the kitchen a lot; it had everything we needed to make lunches and dinners. The check-in process was so easy and the owner was very response to my messages. Loved the extra touches like books, games, and DVDs to use. We had a wonderful stay here!

Great stay!
