The beautiful nature of the island with its olive groves, vineyards, forests and sandy and rocky beaches makes Ugljan a paradisiacal holiday destination. The island is home to pine forests, sandy and rocky beaches and the crystal blue Adriatic Sea. Ugljan is the perfect starting point for day trips to the Tela??ica and Kornati National Parks. If you are more interested in an active holiday, you will find hiking and cycling trails here. There are daily ferry connections from Zadar to the island of Ugljan and the harbour in the village of Preko. Zadar is an old town rich in cultural heritage and historical attractions. The old town offers monuments from antiquity, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Nowadays, Zadar is known for the Sea Organ and the light installation "Pozdrav suncu" (Greeting to the Sun).
