Our plane was delayed and our baggage did not arrive with the flight so we had to spend additional time to put a claim in for our luggage. This process delayed our arrival to midnight that evening. We could not send a notice to The Gate Boutique as we were not aware of the baggage and plane delays until it was too late. The Gate Boutique closes and locks the door at 11:00. We arrived at midnight due to our plane delays and the number listed on the door came back as non registered so we could not reach anyone at the hotel. We ended up walking to another hotel about a half mile away and luckily for us they were open and we could spend the night. However, The Gate Boutique Hotel charged our credit card for that night so we have paid double for that night's stay.

Mostly it was the conscientious staff. I texted to find out if the hotel had a shuttle. They do not, but the man who answered my inquiry gave me very specific directions to travel by either bus or train. He was good at his job. In addition, he called to check to make sure that I was able to arrange transportation and ordered me a taxi for the next morning. The property was spotless and the room was quite comfortable.

The hotel does NOT have a shuttle service. Taxi was $20. It is quite close to the airport; no significant noise from jet traffic. Food store within 10 minute walk. Some restaurants in the area. Overall this was adequate for a one-night, pre-travel stay….
