The village has a good range of shops, cafes and restaurants, while its vast expanse of sheltered, golden sands is a favourite for swimming, paddleboarding and water sports galore. You can walk for miles along the Welsh Coast Path, with glorious views all the way and take a boat trip from the picturesque harbour around Cardigan Bay, against a spectacular backdrop of the distant Snowdonia mountains. From Tywyn (4 miles) hop on board the historic Talyllyn steam railway for a journey through glorious scenery. Hop off at Dolgoch station to see the famous waterfalls and rejoin the train to the terminus at Abergynolwyn. From here you can explore mountain trails at the tip of the Snowdonia National Park.
